I think there are definitely some things Ime contributed to this lost; 1) Starting FVV after a months layoff. Basketball is about RHYTHM and CHEMISTRY. You can't just bring a player back in after a month and expect him to be the same. The lineup of; JG, AMEN, JABARI AND SENGUN is our best. 2) Taking Jabari out of the starting lineup I said it in a different thread, Jabari brings what the team does best, DEFENSE AND REBOUNDING. Why would you take that out of the starting unit?? The starting unit sets the tone of the game! 3) Not playing Cam Out of ALL the things, this is what PUZZLES me the most. Every team needs a SPARK PLUG off the bench and Cam is that offensively. Holiday, Adams, nor Tari can produce what Cam brings. Cam opens the floor and brings athleticism. Hopefully, Ime is not too stubborn to do some self evaluation after this game, the Rockets have too much talent to lose to the Kings.
Was at the game last night and immediately noticed that the starting unit was just not in sync. There was no flow to the offense and they just looked lost and not sure of what to do. Maybe FVV needs to come off the bench for a bit and see how that works out. Anytime the Rockets did go on a run, players would be substituted out and boom, there goes the momentum.
Agreed. Whenever a player is fiddling around with the ball, and talking to the ball, and doing all this extra ish before the free throw shot, they're basically overthinking it and getting in their own head about it. Usually skilled Turkish players are good shooters lol what happened?
Yes, I'd be very comfortable with that. He's coming back from a long absence and is clearly still not in 100% shape like he was before injury. We can come back and revisit this after he get his new contract whether that's this year or next year and see how off we were or weren't hah.
FVV not taking himself out of the game even though he clearly did something that bothered him is crazy to me. **** your ego, your pride and competitive spirit. It hurt the team! FVV & Ime together is a bad combination, for that reason alone I don’t want FVV anymore.
