I agree entirely with the opinions of - Why was Scola not in the game more? - McGrady was such a drag. I know he made some good teammate type contributions, but he was as somber and timid on offense as I've ever seen him. He decided it was "facilitator" role again and didnt come out of it. He's partly responsible for facilitating his team to 7 4th quarter points before the Novak bailout (yeah it was a bailout, though McGrady "facilitated" the play) - Adelman almost F'ed this one up putting Novak in when Scola would have been a decent alternative on offense. I'll take the end result for now though.
Bad rotation in the 4th....no Scola, too much standing around - no movement = near collapse.. LESSON LEARNED.....whew ! DD
I haven't had time to review all posts, so excuse if this has been mentioned. Did anyone hear any more about McGrady's left hand? He hurt it in the first half. From where I sit, he seemed to shake it off, but maybe it was an issue for the whole game.
Nowdays, can't trust Tmac shoot jump, shoot FT, go to rack, handle the ball, too many miss, TOs, bad pass ...etc.
(if you don't wanna hear anything about T-Mac trades, don't read the rest of this post) I usually support T-Mac, but after this game... I really think he needs to go! I understand what he does for the team, it's just that we can get so much more than what he offers with the money we pay him. Lazy McGrady is by far one of the most overpaid players in the NBA.
just curious... how many of these guys... who are giving Mclady a break on this game and previous games... because... he could be still hurt... were the same ones who also...gave Yao a break... 1 month after coming back from his broken knee... in last years playoffs...
Don't like the collapse, but man what a win...It's good to see other guys step up...Good for Novak...
i kept yelling PHILADELPHIA when we went cold this girl tapped with with her little balloon stick and gave me a discerning look then she was like "UM WHY DO YOU KEEP YELLING PHILADELPHIA?!" -its a mantra -its a what? a monster? - a mantra -oh, i thought you said monster, because a monster would make more sense. (another hate look) then i explained that we gave up 37pts in the 4th against a terrible sixers, and chuck hayes had a team meeting where he had a 1-word speech "PHILADELPHIA!" and then she was like "oh cause im like why is he yelling that when its sacramento" -haha, no its just a mantra, its not a geography challenge. i got sweet lower bowl tickets thanks to power dancer melanie. the lower bowl can seriously be much louder. even clutchfans nurds are getting concerning taps by other fans because theyre yelling out their rocket fan cred, snarf, rocket trivia battle cries. i was the only one around me who knew the rockets history and was going crazy with the typical "philadelphia, go rockets, close the door!, DE-FENSE" lower bowl was extremely complacent until next thing you know, the kings have the lead in the final minute. seriously took a 20 pt swing to wake the crowd up again. not that it was terrible, but we can be louder.
I just watched a whole f'n hour of sportscenter to see a highlight of Novak's shot. Not even a f'n mention of our game. F$#K ESPN!
We've won 8 in a row for pete's sake and no love at all. That's cool. We can fly under the radar with all the other attention on the major trades. People all the sudden are gonna realize the Rockets are legit and then we can bask in the glory of our fandom!
I wouldn't go calling us legit just yet. In our 8-game win streak, the teams we have faced have gone a combined 183-230. Let's see how we do against NO.
lets see how the refs try to screw us again against new orleans. that game still burns. burns like dvds that should be sent to the nba front office. atrocious.
