I agree. some things i noticed... 1. no penetration in the 4th. we needed AB in the game for this reason and to give rafer a rest. 40 mins for rafer again? 2. artest realized all the rockets were wearing panties except yao. there is no way you let him bull his way and outscore the entire team. 3. adelman didnt make any changes and he didnt look concerned during the collapse. please hold players accountable for bad decisions. 4. if our offense becomes stagnant, why not bring in scola, who at least will be aggressive? 5. the biggest issue. tmac doesnt attack double teams. he goes all the way around in a half circle, which kills the shot clock. kobe, lebron and wade attack double teams but tmac tries to go around them while avoiding contact. this is why he slows the offense down. hopefully this 4th quarter was a reminder what can happen when you dont play 48 mins rather than a return of an old bad habit.
Some of you guys really confuse me sometimes, WE WON THE GAME, it was close but we pulled it out, 8 game winning streak!!, but still cry cry cry, be happy for the team damnit
one more thing. although rafer played GREAT, you won't win many games, especially in the playoffs, when he leads the team in shot attempts. tmac chokes in pressure moments?
Rockets WIN! Tmac goes for 3/12 and we still win. Can't complain even though they did make the game more interesting than it needed have been. GO ROCKETS! GO YAO! GO TMAC! GO RAFER! GO NOVAKAINE!!!
Maybe we can not expect too much from Tmac, he is not the superman any more? or he deceiptively does it to avoid being traded?
you so call rocket fans drive me bananas!!!! So what if tmac doesn't play well tonight at least we can count on him to come up big on the road games unlike yao. So what if yao was horrible the last road trip, at least we can count on him at home. BOTTOM LINE IS we need em both
That 4th quarter reminded me of Game 6 of the 1993 Finals. Jordan scored 9 points in the entire 4th qtr, but nobody else scored for the Bulls that quarter. Pheonix kept gaining momentum behind Barkley and took the lead late. But with a couple of seconds remaining, Pippen found Paxson for the 3 to seal the victory. This game, Yao scored 7 points for the Rockets in the 4th, but that was it for the Rockets, and the Kings behind Artest and he gave them the lead late as well, but with a couple of seconds remaining, Tmac was able to find Novak for three and that won the game for us. I know its only a regular season game, but these dry spells can happen to ANYBODY. If the Bulls, who had won 3 championships could be held to 9 points by Jordan by a not-so-great defensive team in Pheonix, then it can happen to any team, no matter how bad or good. Give the Rockets a little bit of a break, and be glad that Yao and Novak saved the game for the Rockets in the 4th qtr. Its just kinda weird how similar those 2 4th qtrs were when you compare them...
does anybody have any pics of novak a.k.a supernova's clutch game winning 3 point shot? . . if so, could you please post it? . . i'd greatly appreciate it!
My analysis of the 4th quarter collapse is pretty simple... The beauty of Adelman's offense is that the role players have much bigger roles. They are not just catch and shoot, end of the play options. The problem with this is that when the defense really clamps down (as in the 4th quarter today), they can still have trouble holding down their increased offensive responsibilities. Our role players are decent, but nothing to really brag about. I suspect this will improve with time.
Clutch city is back, how sweet it is !! 8 Game winning streak, let's keep it rolling. P.S Please explain why Denver, with the same record, is ahead of us because we are tied with each one win this year ?
Many photos about T-Mac, but He played so SOFT today, he almost did nothing except the last Ast in the last quarter.
I have never seen McGrady play that way. When the Rockets needed him down the stretch, he didn't deliver. It looked like he wasn't even trying to score. Something has got to be wrong with him, or he's in the middle of a change. He has to find that right balance between passing and scoring, otherwise the Rockets aren't going far at all.
That knee has got to be bothering him or something, it's just baffling! There's no way that this is all he's got left in the tank after showing us how much he had left at the start of the season.
ok i found it, I tell ya reporters ask the most useless questions. They never ask the real difficult questions that put the coaches under the pump, do reporters get banned from the interviews if they ask hard questions or something
