yes he shoots too much... when he should be taking it to the hoop.... especially when we have the bid stiff out on the high post... and yes he shoots too much... most times when he is shooting at a 25 to 35% clip... everything is not black and white... we need Tmac our leader to use his head... like I said... thanfully he was smart enough... too only take 12 shots tonight...
Really, no offense to Clutch, but it's really not that problematic of a win. Artest went crazy, we expended a lot of energy early, and- most importantly, we got the win. This happens to all teams- heck, New Orleans was down to the Bucks with 32 seconds left. Denver choked against the Magic, etc., etc. Mitch Richmond did this to the champion Rockets back in 1994- we put 2-3 guys on him and he just couldn't stop scoring- and they beat us in Houston with Mario and Maxwell playing lock-down defense. The Rockets had an excellent game by building up the lead, they got caught in a weird momentum swing, they really should have lost, and they won. Not that big a deal at all. We've still got a good core- and if we do make a trade, all the better. But this wasn't that big a deal- if T-Mac is hurting or something like that is in his head, he'll either get minutes or- don't be surprised if Adelman cuts his time. He's already proven he's willing to make gutsy calls (Novak in at the end??), so I have faith in him and the team.
Guys - Chill out. The rockets have won 18 of their last 20. One bad quarter in a single game doesn't mean they are suddenly full of problems and as horrible as you make them out to be.
Yeah, I know....but they say the referees are in play....which disgusts me.....almost as much as T-Wack...yeah I said it. This guy has just about worn out his welcome here in the H.
T-Mac had a bad game but we win, the last time vs Kings he had 40 points and we lost...Onestly I prefer to win
4 games ago when he had 33 v. the bucks and 26 v. the wolves. coincidentally, he took 27 and 21 shots. the last 3 games, he never took more than 15 shots. like i said, he needs his touches to be effective. if he can't be effective on less touches, we must do something with him.
The Rockets have blown a lot of games in the fourth this year... I think just because you ultimately won (in rather unorthodox fashion) doesn't mean you should ignore the problems that surfaced. It certainly didn't erase in my mind what I saw there.
Bottom line: 2 months ago we would have lost this game. But we didn't. Like Robertson said in the blog, no one will remember this when we're in the playoffs as anything other than a win.
They also never play defense! They also lack a dominant post presence! Every team has strengths and weaknesses. The Warriors and Suns are offensive powerhouses and poor defensive teams. The Rockets are a great defensive team and a below average offensive team with two great scorers.
i have to say the rox hate the rubbish time and tend to give fans some surprise. but my hear can't endure such a "drama" anymore
It's too early to give up on T-Mac. Clearly he's made the decision that he's going to be unselfish and fit into the offense. He got a ton of open looks tonight, and if he had sunk just a few more of them he could have gotten around 20 points.
