tmac, when u miss 2 open shots in a row, GO TO THE HOLE. it's that simple. get a rhythm by going to the line. but he is playing with a lot of energy.
When you are WIDE open you have to take that shot. And considering he only shoots 4% better on "close" shots, it really is the best option to pull the trigger.
I think this is more the result of a fluid rotation of Adelman more than anything else. As everyone has noticed, he's less set on having a clear division between first and second unit. It's a very different feel from what Van Gundy did for a while during the second half of last season, when he played split up the two stars for a good chunk of the game. It seemed more regimented and predictable.
1:25 HOU - T. McGrady missed a 24-foot three-pointer from the left wing 1:33 HOU - B. Wells defensive rebound Don't understand this at all..... 8 seconds only on the shot clock, and TMAC had to rush his 3-pointer. I could care less if it was completely open look. But it wasn't.
pretty bad second quarter for the rox. good thing they started off so strong. lets hope the starters take care of business in the 3rd the way they did in the 1st.
TMAC just doesn't have that killer instinct.. we could have put down the kill right there before the half and build a 20+ pt lead...
It WAS a completely open look. The most successful offense of the oast few years has been the Phoenix Suns, and their philosophy is to get a shot up in less than 7 seconds.
