Well, it took them awhile to get interested, but, finally, they eeked out another win against a vastly inferior opponent. Should have been a blow out. Anyway, I love the way Yao played, very aggressively; he scored with double teams and even triple teams. When he thinks quickly, moves without multiple hesitations, and gets determined, he can't be stopped. Props to Scola. Artest and TMac left their good shots on the bus. O.K. game, but expected some consistency, didn't get it. They fell back to their inconsistent ways and played down to the competition. This will bite them in the butt multiple times before the season is over, and may cost them dearly.

It seems like we just keep our head above water for the first 3 quarters and then in the 4th we turn it up and close the game out. Which I guess is good and bad.

Yao played great, especially in the 4th. Scola wasn't efficient but he played hard. Tmac/Artest also didn't have that good of shooting game, but I saw some good passing from them.

Our rebounding didn't look very good... Yao is just too slow to react. He also doesn't notice some long range attempts and therefore didn't get in position to rebound.

tracy got 18 and 8, w/ 2 steals and a block. that's not consistent esp. a guy that's not fully back yet? he's been fairly consistent and making plays.

it's not a coincidence since he's been back, yao has been getting a ton of layups/dunks.

Its just that whenever the opponent misses a shot, I always have to hold my breath and hope that we get the rebound.

reading through this thread i'm convinced we didn't watch the same game.

we played no Dee in the first half and had a few decent moments in the second. i'm glad for the W but we managed to make the Kings look like a contender. we do that too often ....

While 23 points on 21 shots isn't real efficient, you can see Scola's potential to thrive on this team when we're healthy. He had plenty of opportunities to take his man without worry of double teams. He also gets plenty of open mid-range jumpers. He just has to convert more and find a way to draw more fouls rather than taking awkward shots.

His lack of efficiency was made up by his 5 offensive rebounds and hustle.

Scolandry combined for 32 points and 21 rebounds.

scola's inefficiency wasn't b/c he took bad shots b/c he didn't. he took great shots within the offense. it's just i don't know why he refuses to dunk.

Our D was horrible the first part of first half.

But we did a good job in the 2nd half most of time.

Sac beat LA when LA was hot, so any team on any given night can bite you. They played well tonight, don't slight them and ourselves.
