Ill add a little bit to what cabbage said since I just got finished watching(and editing) the game... Tmac was off...scared me a couple of times with coming down on his left ankle funny...he was limping..hope it was just your standard twing . Yao was shaky at first.......considering how much stuff they had him do in the days leading up to the game,..Im not surprised..thats a lot of pressure on that young man's head...it took him some time to get fomfortable... Deke......omg...even at 38 or whatever....that man can still run the court with those loooong strides...there was one play where the Kings were fastbreaking...and Deke shows up just in time to block the shot if it had made it past the other defender...whcih it didnt...but the point is...he got down the court FAST!! Also, his hook shots looked pretty good from inside 8 feet... Hawkins....doesnt have a pretty shot or even that good of a shot...but he is damn good at finding a way to get to the basket...I like him...I hope we keep him. Bowen....what can I say...Mr Hustle. I absolutely love the way he plays....diving all over the place to try to disrput the opponents O...scrambling after loose balls...gets great position on defense. Boki.......man, sometimes it is tough to be a fan...his offense is still MIA...but one thing I noticed that should help to secure his spot....his defense is MUCH MUCH better than last year...if you have the game taped...or even if you catch it tonight on the replay....take the time and trouble to watch Boki on defense when he is in.. The kid is learning fast...still a little overenthusiastic and it costs him a couple of fouls...but his hustle and defense will keep him on this squad....book it. Lue.....fast fast fast.....if he was just a few inches taller...we would have our PG position taken care of..plays great positional defense...hustles...sometimes he is a little overactive in trying to get into the passing lanes...got out of position tryin to go for steals a couple of times... didnt get to see too much of Gaines...looked pretty decent when he was out there...no major mistakes....nothing really that great to comment on..hopefully we will get some more looks at him so we can decide just how good he REALLY is...
That won't cut it with Jeff Van Gundy. Maybe in the Rudy era seeing as how we wasted a first round pick on Terrence Morris to appease Steve Francis. I could see JVG laughing in CD's face at the suggestion of keeping Nachbar around simply because of Yao.
Rox2k when do you plan on BTing the game -if you even plan to- Much appreciated if you can, there will probably be a chinese BT coming up soon but I prefer the english commentating, the chinese version tends to mute the crowd less exciting. I really didn't like the signing of all these former Knicks players, been it Mutumbo, or Ward. But last game against Kings made me change my mind a bit. The overall impression I have is that this group of guys didn't force things, they seem to be able to just play the ball, the offensive flow was smoother. It's still just the 2nd pre-season game, so the jury is still out there.
Boki has guarranteed contract. Also I believe Gaines has a guarranteed contract as well. Hawkins does not. And with Sura coming back in about 8 weeks. Surplus to requirement.

Yao looks a lot stronger. but, he still lacks a little quickness. i wanna see him dunk over smaller centers like brad miller when he's under the close to the basket. the rockets still has trouble scoring. they need better outside shooters.
