How do you get a shot clock violation from this? 6:43 HOU - Shot clock violation on Y. Ming 6:58 SAC - Layup by M. Barnes. Assist: M. Bibby
Put YAO on Sacramento and he would be dominating too. They have a PG (Bibby) and an athletic, good shooting power forward (webber). We have neither.
THanks god JVG has taken Yao out of the game. It's either a brick or a TO when he gets the ball. And he could not do anything against the sophisticated P&R by the Kings.
Who cares about Yao's struggles on offense... it was his defense that was killing everything. Actually, none of the Rockets are playing good defense tonight.
Webber sucks anymore but he is one hell of a passer. Why can't one of our loser, scumbag, Michigan PF's pass like that???
He needs to stop getting sentimental on these kinds of reunion game. It's business and you need to bring it out night in and night out.
I'm resigned to the fact that JVG will never use Yao in a manner OTHER THAN THE LOW POST. Yao being the damn stupid obedient soldier that he is does not rebel at all. The way JVG uses Yao in the defense and offense emphasizes his weaknesses, and I think Yao would be a dumbass to want to sign a contract making him look a stooge out there. When Tolbert called the Yao pathetic offensively and defensively, I think it just represented what a lot of the critics are thinking. If Yao does not want to look like a damn fool, he better do something about it. I have not seen a single play where Yao is supposed to hit a jumper. Considering Yao has demonstrated recently that he has his jumpshot back, wouldn't it have been wise to fight some fire with fire? Kings are utilizing Miller, Webber, and Songalia to spread the court. It's on Yao now. Yao is being looked at as manure now.
The King's offensive system and Bibby's great play is creating wide open jumpers for their big men. You can't tell me YAO wouldn't be knocking down wide open J's . Defensively, If the guards would quit gettin' smoked the big men wouldn't be wide open for the jumpers. It's not like Bibby isn't driving into the lane whenever he wants.
Even the critics like Tolbert are now pointing out the lateral quickness on Yao is like nil. YAO IS A PAPERWEIGHT. You don't put paperweights in a position to play aggressive defense. You put them in zone defenses. Even an elementary student would know that. However, JVG will not change. This is why I propose the Lamar Odom trade. Lamar Odom seems to be stuck in a rut too. However, Lamar Odom is perfect for JVG's aggressive defense.
