To those that say it was obvious that Webber was getting the ball, either 1) you're a liar, or 2) you're an idiot. You're a liar if you knew Webber was getting the ball because logic would dictate that Mobley or Bibby would get it, and that wouldn't be an obvious or dumb assumption, because in a late game situation, you don't want their best long ball shooters taking the 3. Simple as that. C-Perjurer shot it, made it, and in essence, got lucky. McGrady didn't play as far off him as dumbsh*t Tolbert implied. And you're an idiot if you knew Webber would shoot the three because, take a step back, and I don't care how hot he was....you really want Webber taking the three? Yes! Let him! I too had a hard time sleeping last night after watching that game, but some of the posts here are absolutely r****ded. I swore I'd stop reading them, but like a smack-hungry fiend, I keep coming back for more. Dumb posts are my addiction. Ask any rational fan here that posts if they thought we'd be a championship team automatically this year, and they'd say no. The trade was just supposed to make us better. Folks, last year, we would have hovered around 10 like the Kings allowed us, and then we would have folded and lost by 20. That's what I saw for the past 5 years, but I didn't see that today. That's called improvement, and that's what we wanted. We would have stolen this game from the Kings if we won, but frustratingly enough, we somehow allowed them to steal a game from us that they should have won to begin with. Anyway, it's all good. We're getting better. Oh, and C-Webb is a punk ass pus*y with that spying stuff. Fair or unfair, he's still a punk. See how excited and pansy-like he was when he heard it? This from a guy who acts all thugged out when he grew up in wealthy suburban Detroit (and still took 250K in bribes, and threw that championship game as well). Give him his temporary glory....Kings will falter in the playoffs just like they always do.
McGrady should have fouled Webber, period. I have seen Webber made a couple of clutch 3-bombs like that. I am not blaming Tmac for that after all the good things he did. But that was a mistake. Peace.
And who's fault is this? If Yao goes 0 for his first 10 and his teammates or JVG refuse to give him the ball (even when he's struggling) then all Yao has to say is "I don't give a shyt if I'm struggling. Give me the ball or trade me." The problem for Yao would be solved. It's not up to JVG, Tmac, Sura, Francis, etc. to adjust to Yao's Eastern, Confucious, 'Be Humble' customs. This is America. Adjust. Either be a prick like all the other superstars or just sit back and blame everyone else. Now which way will Yao go? We still don't know but I can tell you which is the only way that works in the NBA.
We played a good game, but the Kings are just a better team. Insetad of blaming Tmac or Wesley, I blame JVG for the strategy. For the last play in the regulation, we shouldn't have any player defend any area within 3pt line, so the Kings can only get the in-bound ball within the 3pt line, and score 2pt.
What I really dont understand is the way Yao has no choice but to take up a position before he gets the ball. How long do we take to understand that he is not comfortable doing that and if you add to the fact that he seldom gets calls his way. We are making a mistake of not using Yao- atleast some parts of the game- shooting the 15 footer. We take so many bricks from our guards- why not give him the same benefit of doubt. If it were me- i would insert Yaho and Mutumbo at the same time! Sure they would be slow but the question you would ask is how bad was Juwan when Webber was toying with him all night!
Well, it was obvious because the Kings love running that play in that situaion. Webber has already hit a game winning 3 this year, and he missed another. Also, Bibby or Cat taking the 3 would have been too obvious. Any jackass, uninformed fan would have expected that. They clearly used that knowledge against us. I learned all this information by reading the Kings game notes before the game on nba.com. If you were completely surprised by the play they ran, then I say you are the idiot.
Just tell me how he could be "vocal about it" so that he would get the ball? Don't forget the number one reason is JVG's system which cannot figure out how to use both Yao and Tracy together. Just look at Steve's stats last seaon, which is a good example. When you are forced to act the way you don't like, you are screwed. PERIOD.
That wasn't even my point, dude. I was just responding to the snowmt01's statement that T-mac could keep on shooting even when he was missing, so should Yao. In no way I was making excuses for Yao or blaming others. I'm merely stating an observation that, unlike T-mac, Yao needs to be fed the ball before he could shoot. Be it Yao's fault or his teammates' inability in passing him the ball, Yao can't just shoot himself out of a slump if he doesn't have the ball.
Arent you the idiot who started your first five posts worshipping all that is yao? and that was when he was sucking it up? way to stand by your convictions.
This was a tough loss, the schedule is brutal next week. The Rox need to play B-ball the way the Patriots play football, no mistakes. Losing a game because your best player misses a last minute shot is one thing (its excusable) but losing a game because you don't foul isn't. The Rox need to collectively use all the years of experience they have to their advantage and let other teams beat themselves by mistakes and not beat ourselves by mistakes as we did yesterday.
Mike Bibby outplayed our pg's once again. Pg has beenRockets problem still Rockets problem until they fixed that part of the team they will just be an avergae team.
Kudos to you for reading the King's website. I have not reached depths that low in no-life-titude. But for you to be so ****-sure that Webber is going to take the three is ludicrous. Perhaps McGrady should have fouled Webber, but knowing that, it would also be hard to foul someone YOU KNOW is shooting, automatically giving him three free throws. Webber made the shot; it wasn't dumb not to expect a three from Webber is all I'm saying.
and let's look at the bright side : I really think we have something now in, as Worrell would say, "pagent"
It took a whole 5 minutes to skim over the notes, for betting purpsoses mainly. Look, I'm not one of the guys saying that we should have fouled. My only complaint is Tmac being about 5 feet away from Webber when he took the shot. I figured that JVG, who is the hardest working coach in the league, would also have the same nugget of information. Turns out, Tmac just screwed up. However, you calling anyone that called the play (there were several who claimed to) an idiot or a liar is just ignorant. Just because you have no knowledge of the tendencies of the opponent doesn't mean that no one else does. If you absolutely have to try to tear down people who got the play right, just say it was because of luck. I bet a boat load of kings fans knew that Webber would get the shot as well. Then again, I guess they're also idiots.
The point guard has been a problem since S. Cassell was traded so I don't think it's gonna be fixed any time soon.
I just hate the passionate argument on how 'obvious' it was that Webber was going to take the shot, which is ridiculous. Yes, I will agree with you that TMac probably should have been more up on Webber. But good defense and smart decisions are vital to every game; patting ones' self on the back (not saying you're doing this) because you just knew Webber would take the shot is absurd, and that's what I'm mainly objecting to.
