Patlabor, it's obvious the rockets aren't built around Yao. That being said, Yao's demotion to role-player status is mostly his own fault. When teammates aren't passing to him when he has a good game, Yao himself (not fans, JVG, or mama Yao) need to grab then and demand the ball lest they get beat. And when YAo isn't involved in plays, he needs to demand to be involved. And when Yao plays badly, he needs to get fired up and take it as an insult that other players like Stromile Swift can embarass him at will. He needs to make them pay.

But Yao doesn't do any of this. That's why he's a byline in the Guiness Book of World Records as the world's largest Vagina.

You call it cheating, everyone else is calling it smart. Not to mention that the Rockets straight let him listen to them.

Very true. Yao has become a roleplayer. It is very sad how far he is falling in the eyes of the world in terms of his skills. He looks like a wounded dog out there limping around.

Yao will never become a great player at this rate.

Tough loss but I am encouraged by the way the team is playing. The offense is looking crisp. And they are starting to be an entertaining team to watch its been a while since I could say that. I gotta give it to JVG and CD a team full of vets may not be such a bad thing.

Rockets can only blame themselves for all their missed FTs.

arthan, truth hurts but Yao is a giant pansy. Maybe you should find a new hero instead of cursing at me in your broken english.

TMac played well but has he turned himself a "volume shooter" like AI? Hope not. Very bad shot selection and not involving teammates at OT.

Two calls in the last 3 minutes -- the "foul" by Wesley on Bibby and the "jump ball" when Barry was calling timeout -- were among the worst calls I've seen from NBA referees. I can understand not calling something because you can't see it. But calling something when you can't see it -- there's just no excuse for that. And without those calls, the Kings never get back in this game.

Dear Commissioner Stern: You owe us a couple of late phantom calls in the playoffs. On the other team's court.

okay reading your posts really is making me mad. one guy is yelling that yao sucks, the other is yelling yao is more importnat than the team, the third guy is blaming van gundy, somebodys blaming the refs, blah blah blah.

we lost. as a team. at the end of the game when we needed it most we couldnt convert--they could. they got the loose balls, they hit the shots. we didnt lose this game, they won it. im still pissed at webber right now though. dammit.

the one thing i do have to say is that yao needs to step it up. he got his shots today but was just off. if he starts playing well and the rest of the rockets play like they did tonight, we have a monster team coming on.

Tmac collapsed late in the game, he was awful the last 20 seconds or so.....his man hit the tying 3 and then he was bricking up in OT.

But, no harm....good game....I actually think they are better without Peja, because their roles are more defined.

Tell you what Sacremento, because you play so well without Peja, we will trade you Mo Taylor for him.

Heads up.....just because we think you could use another big man scorer.

I believe Lamar Odom would fit in very well in JVG's aggressive defensive schemes.

Lamar Odom + Chris Mihm + Caron Butler

    for

    Yao Ming + Maurice Taylor

Who else is coming over to the dark side? It's time to pull the trigger on a Herschel Walker type trade before the hype on Yao wears off.

I'd settle for just calling the game fairly on Yao.

Hasn't TMac always been a volume shooter? He's 2nd in the league in Field goals attempted (surpirse, only AI shoots more) and he shoots a blistering .429.

There were 3 horrible calls against us at the end of regulation.

    1. Tmac had a hand on Webber's back, and Webber jumps forward and hits the ball out of bounds, forcing the ref to make the call.

    2. When Jon Barry dove for the loose ball, he called a timeout clearly, and the Kings didn't even tie it up. Dumb ref called a jump ball for some reason.

    3. The foul on Wesley where he basically just held his ground against Bibby. Bibby flailed around for like 3 seconds, and it seemed like he wasn't gonna get a call. Then at the last second the ref calls a foul.

All 3 of those calls occured in the last 2 minutes.

I might as well mention the BS offensive foul on Yao against Webber, which was followed by Webber pushing and shoving his way through Juwan for the rest of the game.

Or how bout the 'foul' before Tmac's tech? should've been a turnover, instead its 3 points.

As all this happened, I just could not believe my eyes. What have the kings done to get calls like this on the road? When was the last time they accomplished anything or won a title? We got punked by the refs on our own court tonight. The Kings didn't even have to make clutch shots to stay close at the end of regulation, they just got gift freethrow after freethrow. Meanwhile, we're hitting all our huge shots, making a miracle comeback, and then the refs just spit in our faces.

With that said, Tmac should have been all up in Webber's face. The call was just too obvious. We clearly got outplayed in the overtime, but it shouldn't have gone that far.

Even tho this was a BAD LOSS, the Lakers just lost another home game and it's looking good for us to at least get into the playoffs.
