you arent the only one who notices the team runs much smoother with mjax and yao gets the ball much more often
What a horrendous way to finish the half. Instead of a double-digit Rockets lead, the Kings are within four, and have all the momentum. Francis had to take that last "shot", didn't he. The Kings are getting a late Christmas present courtesy of one of the most disappointing players in the history of this team.
oh, there were? despite there being one guy on steve francis standing in the corner with about 4 on the shot clock, there were apparently two people wide open. just wide open? no problem throwing over a 7 footer to them, easily get the shot off before the violation wide open? just wide open? is there some reason we always throw it to steve whenever somebody screws up and there's no time on the shotclock? he isn't shooting well so why is he always the bail out option?
SF haters. shut the f^ck up...., clutch shall create another BBS "Stevie Bashing Board".... And here can be more peace with our YOF
Did SF buy the patent for the last shot of the quarter/half/game? This is getting so damn predictable that no bookie would even take a bet.
Those calls in the last 1:30 were horrendous. I travesty of officiating everywhere. One of poorest efforts at calling the game in the history of the NBA
Steve got robbed of a foul at that midcourt strip. I didn't really get a chance to watch the last few minutes of the game. I got frigging robbed of my time from some movie lady asking me about what movies I might be interested in. I got baited so bad. The operator took up 15 minutes of my life and I want them back!
First the good news: I liked the ball movement, Jim Jackson and Mo's sterling play and the Rockets making a concerted effort to get the ball to Yao. Now the negative: What I hated was the fact that the Rockets are playing the Kings' pace, which they can not sustain. Also, they finished the quarters very poorly, especially that 90 sec. stretch at the end of the 2nd. Arrggggh!!!!!!
The Rockets fell apart at the end of the half, and that's another story, but I got to tell you I am legitimately concerned with Steve Francis these days. We have waited years for him to become a playmaker, and now he can't shoot straight? This is no 10-game slump or fluke .... Francis is a 39% shooter and could get worse. What in the hell is the deal? I'm talking open jumpers.... he can't hit them too often these days. (I am not saying "TRADE FRANCIS!" .... I'm just concerned with his offense of all things) Lastly, I'm about to give up on the Rockets when they get the ball with 20-23 seconds left in a quarter/half. They're going to run a Steve iso each and every time. Hey, it's one thing with 6 seconds left to get it to a guy who can make something happen .... but every time with that much time left? Plenty of time to run a set, yet they don't do it.
It looks like Cat, JJ, and Mo have got their game going tonight. They might as well keep those guys on the court as much as possible.
why does bibby trip steve right in front of everyone and not get called for it? steve just decided to chill on the court for a while or something? and of course miller nailed him earlier with no call. but as soon as mobley fouls jackson on that rebound, do we get a makeup call? hell no, foul called right away. and yao needs to dominate vlade more. getting it poked away and missing chippies when you're being guarded by a guy who can't jump over a rope isn't good.
so am i. the shooting just seems to keep getting worse. last year he had a stretch where he was nailing 3's and hitting his little pull up jumper. and even when the 3's left, the pull up jumper remained. i'm going with the comfort zone theory. as in steve isn't in one. how often do we let him take that pull up jumper when it's not the end of a quarter? it seems like never. that's been his shot these last few years. now it seems like every play he's involved in involves a pick. all of them it seems. and steve isn't going to be as good hitting shots dribbling off a pick or on the run moving to the basket. that's just the way he seems to be. let him get back in a rhythm with the pull up 17' and i think some semblance of his shot would come back. as it is, that shot happens sporadically and often it seems as a last resort after he's decided it's ok to take a shot and/or no one's open and/or it's forced with the clock running down. i think we've shied too much away from isos. they weren't all bad.
Francis has shown no progress in his game throughout the years, that much is noticeable. He is just does not show discipline or smart court sense.
