i just wanted to check Francis' current Efficiency point for this game. His point is so low that it's not on the list.
SF sucks so far. His outside jumps are miles off, and he cannot finish a layup that he used to be able to do. Did you notice that 24 sec violation? when the ball was kicked out to SF, he was open, but he had to dribble it a couple of times before taking a shot. By then he was covered and he launched an airball. Refs suck. When are we going to get a call?
this has nothing to do with the amount of Yao touches (he's got 5 shots already), but does it seem to anyone else that we're playing a bit selfishly again? Mobes and Taylor aint even looking at anyone else on offense, and francis appears to be passing only when trapped.
don't tell me francis was forced to shoot that 3 cuz the clock was winding down...there were at least two other players wide open
SF cannot keep track of shot clock any more. He wasn't aware of it until the last sec when teamates yelled at him.
he has really been off these last few games. i wonder if there is something bothering him or anything wrong with him
Yao and Steve haven't shown up tonight. Yao's shot is off, and he's missing his defensive assignments in Songaila (dunno how to spell his name), but is making his presence when they try and attack the basket, that is when he can get in transition defense. When he isn't, they have a layup drill. I'm stunned it's still a tie game. As for Steve, he's missing his defensive assignment in covering Bibby who is beating him down the floor on transition D, and his shot is off. Mobley is bi-polar. Started off with a few bad plays in the 1st quarter, then went on to make I believe three 3 pointers in a row before missing his 4th which was a forced one. Guys that have shown up are Mobley despite his bi-polar performance thus far, and MoT. We'd have absolutely no offensive inside presence without MoT.
We have to set up Yao down low more often. He is guarded by Divac who is slow and a known flopper. Yao will shoot over Divac or go to FT line.
