Yao will have a good game and the rocks will hold the Queens to under 84 points.

What about Bobbi Jackson and even Bibby? I think they are capable of taking anyone of the dribble. Your so called "doom and gloom" is just misplaced predictions of those who predicted the failure without webber. They must be banging their heads like you seeing as how kings are still very much at the top and arguably have the top talelent .
For tonight's game,as a kings fan all I can predict is that it should be an exciting one and I predict francis to come out of the funk against bibby's defense. The most interesting matchup is Miller&Divac vsMing&Cato of course and that should determine the final result. Peja has been in a mild funk for the last week so I am looking to see if he comes out of it.
The one area Rockets have decided advantage is coaching. Van Gundy is much more involved and disciplined than Adelman.

I dont believe the game is a lock either... but nba.com just posted something interesting. Sac has not lost 3 games in a row cept for last year this date.. hmmmm... very peculiar eh? well I hope history repeats and we hand the Kings their 3 loss in a row.

Yao will try to breakout this game and SF will finally find his shot.

    Yao 26 pts/ 20 rebs/ 11 blks
    SF 28 pts (10-15) / 8 rebs/ 14 assists

SF is due for a very strong outing I hope it will coincide with Yaos strong performance to blow out the Kings.

    Rox 108 - Sac 84

Go Yao! Go Rox! Go Super Duper Backup Bench Brigade!

peja and brad miller will kill us, JJ couldnt defend him before and he wont be able to defend him now. Brad miller will jumpshoot the hell out of us, cato can't keep up. if we can prevent these two from happening and break their zone, we might see a close game.

Rox will play extremely well in the 1st half, jumping out to a double digit lead. By end of the 3rd qtr the Kings catch up and the Rox collapse in the 4th to lose 98-86

    Yao 24 Pts (20 in 1st half) 9 Reb
    Steve 18 pts (14 in the 2nd half) 5 assts 5 TOs

beating a zone means we need:
    mark jackson ball movement
everyone nailing their jump shots. mobley jackson francis and taylor all need to be making their buckets tonight.

We womp the Kings just like we womped Minny.

We have the best defense in the league.

We have arguably one of the two best centers in the league.

We have a top candidate for 6th Man of the Year.

We have an 'Absolutely-No-Layups-Allowed' enforcer at the 4.

We have a sharpshooter in the All-Star weekend's 3-Point Shootout.

We have a tough-as-nails 3 who just happens to have been one of
the Kings' most valuable players last year.

We have one of the most dynamic, unstoppable Guards in the entire league,
and, backing him up, one of the all-time NBA assist leaders.

We have one of the best X's-and-O's coaches in the league.

we have an excellent home record.

We play superbly on National Television.

Yeah yeah, the Sacks are a good team, but look at the list above and tell
me that they are not at LEAST as worried about facing US as anyone in
    Houston is about facing THEM.

We win this game going away at the end, after 3 close quarters..

    YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE THIS...
Last night I was downtown at Club Embar for one of the many Super Bowl parties this week. My first celebrity sighting (if you want to call it that) was Bob Slovak of ABC13 sports. He was a really cool guy... I shot the **** with him for a few minutes and moved on.

Spent the whole night looking for real celebs and only saw Robert Reid (former Rocket, for those of you who are too young to remember). Occasionally I made my way back to the bar, only to see Slovak drinking the Crown and Coke like water.

Finally, around 1:30am when I'm leaving the club, I run into a celeb worth mentioning. MIKE BIBBY was standing in line trying to get inside the club. He was alone, wearing sweat pants and a hooded sweat shirt. But I saw that goofy a$$ baby face of his (the stupid little beard he grows tipped me off) and I called him out. But I was kinda drunk myself and called him Jason (as in Jason Kidd). Then my sober friend corrects me and asked him if we could take a picture with him. Bibby said "no, not tonight... ain't got no time!" So my friend starts to hassle him and make smart a$$ comments. He starts yelling, "hey everyone, don't ask Mr. Mike for an autograph tonight, he ain't got the time... no sir, he's waaaaay to busy for that. This man here is a celebrity... back, back people!" Just a whole bunch of stupid stuff like that. But it was so funny! Everyone in line was actually laughing at BIBBY... he even looked scared! He just lowered his head and wouldn't look at anyone. Serves him right for being a jerk in the first place.

I just thought you ROX fans might be happy to hear that BIBBY (A) stood outside in the freezing cold for who knows how long so I'm hoping he caught the flu. (B) he might be hung over for tonights game. (C) We screwed with him so much that I'm sure he went back to the hotel later that night and told his roommate about it. It really looked like he was bothered by the whole incident. Which I found to be hilarious... because I hate the Sacramento QUEENS!

Problems with our team is JJ is too small at the small forward position to match up against Peja who is listed at 6'10

6'10 pure shooter who is putting up close to Bird like numbers for the season with a 6'5-6'6 out of position shooter guard= major mismatch.

I fear for how we handle Brad Miller as well. Brad's been putting up marginal numbers in comparison to that streak where he was damn near averaging a triple double, but he's still got that great 15-20 foot midrange jumper. Cato struggles against good shootinger power forwards, and is an offensive liability when the Rox get the ball. Another mismatch there.

If those two are hitting from the perimeter it'll open up the paint and that'll mean Yao will need to provide good off the ball defense to clog up the slashers who go for easy layups. That and our guys are going to have to keep their defenders in front of them, while at the same time knowing to never provide help defense if they're guarding Peja. Yao will need to avoid foul trouble so he can get his offensive touches if our defenders don't keep their men in front of them. I hope we win, but the Kings create so many mismatches that just go against our smaller backcourt and conditonally weak PF position.

Padgett should start. There's no point bringing Cato in there and letting Brad Miller have his way with him.

Want a win? giving ENOUGH support to YAO, for Rockets' sake! Otherwise, simply ignoring him...

Would you take the Rockets plus seven points for a bet? I did! It's a no-brainer right? We'll see when lunchtime comes tomorrow...I have a feeling i'll be paying for the dude's lunch. Maybe I still have time to up the ante and take the Rockets plus 20!

Rockets are favored by 1.5. The Kings won by almost 30 points last time. This game is going to have some heavy action due to the number of celebrities in town for Superbowl and going to this game. It's also a game that probably should be televised around the world. I am guessing that a lot of the public money will be going to the Kings.

The 1.5 points really isn't that much. Maybe the odds makers are trying to set the public up for a big smash down since many will take the Kings +1.5.
