It's hard to believe that we could start worse than last year (11-17), well......

It's heartbreaking to watch Rockets play now, especially when they put in tremendous effort and usually only come up short. :( Well, I think I will just check the scores from now on unless both Yao and Tmac are on the court. :(

I thought we played ok. we tried hard, but we were short handed. the effort is there. Deke is really starting to turn it up on the boards. those howard haters must now be wondering why were they hating on him.

Well, just came back from the game, a great game...besides the actual game itself...

Seriously though, I got my Rockets Power Dancers calender and got every single RPD to sign it for me.

Vince Young was apparently a special guest for Les Alexander (he was sitting next to him) and was introduced to the crowd early in the 2nd quarter during a time-out, which resulted in the loudest cheers and a standing O from the crowd (as well as the UT anthem that was playing the background).

Oh, and I know I will be asked for pics or video proof of this, but Ryan Bowen actually made a shot...honest to God...I know, I know, I had to ask a few people around me as well to validate what I saw, but he actually made a shot during shoot-around before the game. Also, JL3 could not miss a single shot in warmups before the game, the kid can freakin' shoot, he should take advantage of that more often.

    Other than that...meh!

60 posts, this is the fewest posts I have ever seen for a game thread. What is the record for fewest posts, this thread is like a Rockets game, can't break a 100.

Yah, I think a lot of people have lost interest in this season, at least until our big guns come back; can't blame them.

Maybe TMac and Ming won't want to come back; who would blame them. And is there any other team in the NBA that has no, zip, nada home court advantage? I wonder if the team even has a winning record since they have moved into TC. I doubt it. A nightmare for ticket sales.

Talk about a low point, the sound was off on the FoxSW broadcast of the game and during the game Yahoo didn't even have a play by play account, both firsts. Right now, the Rockets are as low as a NBA team can get.

I haven't lost interest. I'm a Clippers fan too, so I'm used to losing. Sometimes you've just got a see a season in a different light; you have to change your expectations. Instead of aiming for the championship or even playoffs, you take pleasure in watching young talent develop. Luther Head's been fun to watch. Instead of just watching the scoreboard and whether the ball goes through the hoop, watch team's strategies and plays. Wanna know how the sonics try to get Ray Allen an open three after a timeout? Cause I know. Just be a basketball observer as well as a fan. It hurts less.

    No trades!

This team has gone through enough already this year...which is going to make it that much sweeter for these guys battling it out right now with a severe disadvantage when we make the playoffs.

I know it's been years since we've counted "moral victories", but these last two games show you how much these guys want it. I have really been impressed by Howard and Wesley in particular...but really everyone is fighting. Van Gundy has gotten these guys mentally tough...we just need to get Yao and Tracy back and I know we're going to make a huge run. Hopefully they'll be back by the end of the month so we won't be too far back.

LOL, right! Hard to push injured players on other teams.

Though, it was interesting hearing Bill Worrell talk about some recent JVG quotes in the paper. He said that "if you read between the lines, you can see some changes coming for the Rockets". It was a real brief comment, but one none the less. Although, he could have been talking about the offseason but, since it was so short, couldn't really tell.

well. more inconsistency. frontcourt plays well, but its just another game where the guards can't make s*%t. if we are going to turn things around, we have to start winning games, another stretch wher we lose 2 out of 3, 4 out of 5, and that's it, to the lottery we go. keep in mind many of our losses have been to teams we may need to win a tiebreaker over in order to get in the playofs if we do have the same record. that's why that nuggets loss earlier hurt so much in my opinon.

I am sick of these Polyanna posts.

Quote me, "We are NOT making the playoffs."

Our "supporting " cast around Ming is a train wreck. CD can pull off blockbuster trades, but he has no idea how to fill in role players.

If the Rocks are smart at all, they let McGrady recooperate fully, let Ming take his time, play the scrubs... and maybe at the end of the year play our big guns to see who works well with them.

ANd please don't tell me I am advocating losing, especially if you just posted about all of these "moral" victories.

Remember my sig., I still and always will be a Rockets fan, but we deserve better than this. The blame resides on the team's architects: JVG adn CD.

You will always be a Rockets fan for life. Just one that gives up on the team in the middle of January.
