ClutchFans Game Thread: Jazz @ Rockets 4/30/2007 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 5)

no luther is playing like a scared scrub. at least a rookie would know to hustle.

not only is he pathetic on offense. he is getting beat on EVERYTHING on defense.

 

The crowd needs to wake up and just boo the Jazz everytime they get the ball.

 

Well, we could have played better for sure in the first half. On the bright side, Jazz only leads by 1. If Yao can find his touch in the second, I like our chances to win the game.

Send Head to Jazz to learn from Deron. I hate him suck at big times.

Luther man. I' am at a point where I would put in V-Span. At least I know he's gonna play defense.

 

and we ALL thought luther is clutch.

is it just me or does yao need to show a pump fake THEN make his move?

he gets the pass then he WAITS (BAD IDEA). then he tries to one on one somebody and by that time somebody comes flyin at him!

if he gets memo on the block he needs to show a pump fake, get him in the air, and draw the foul. he could've done that easily a few times by now.

 

Role players are supposed to make open shots. Like Tiger said, these are NBA players, not high school players. Like I said before, I'm glad they're finally contributing, but without T-Mac, we would be down by more than 1. If that doesn't scream difference maker, I'm not sure what is.

 

It was an early (7 pm CST) start and the lower level seats are all corporate seats. Accordngly since nobody in the lower bowl paid 150$ for their seats or whatever face value is, they're not losing any $$$ if they show up late.

Plus, houston fans aren't really that devout, relatively speaking.

 

TMac with 10 assists already ... a pretty horrible first half, with a good finish! Thank god we´re only down one. The important thing: Howard hitting his shots, Rafer taking responsibilities and Battier came out to play. Still to many TOs, Luther choking big time and our stars don`t seem to be hitting their shots (well they did at the end).

Lets see how this will unfold in the 2nd half. This game is close to a must win game, and I`d hate to lose this series! God I`m glad I`m not a Mavs fan...

 

Luther's play is awful, but hopefully he get up in the 2nd half and we win

 

live or die, next 24 mins will decide the fate

 

Hate to say it but should Luther even get a chance to play in the second half? I hope he gets one more shot if he is not scoring or playing tough D he should be replaced for the rest of the game.

 

again, i just want to see who wins the 3rd quarter. who wins that wins the game so far.

we HAVE to come out w/ intensity and play the 3rd like it's the god damn 4th quarter of game 7. get all the loose balls and all that.

and keep making shots.

and can we switch tmac on deron and let rafer guard fisher.

 

The first 5 min of the 3rd qt will be the key for the game. if Rockets are up by the end of the first 5 min, Jazz will panic and they will start to miss tons of shots.. on the other hand, if we are behind heading into 4th qt, it will be too much to bear psychologically and I am afraid it may break Yao&T-Mac&Co's already tense and fragile nerves

I'm so nervous, but I know we can win this game. Just GO ROCKETS!

 

t-Mac should be giving a pep talk right about now in the locker room. Luther probably get the most of it.
