I had a dream that I scored 41 points and then showed up at the postgame press conference in my pajamas.

Good point...yeah, I'm remembering those two wins, then collapse. You're right...we normally start out bad in those situations and get worse.

People (like Skip Bayless, and some Rox fans) still like to criticize Harden for last year's playoff lapse in game 6.
But I believe that CP has been a great help to give Harden that 'never say die' spirit.
If Harden is mis-firing, CP comes out swinging and visa versa. CP is a true competitor.
That's an intangible he's brought to the team. AND this is NOT last year's Rox team either.
    GO ROCKETS!

My take on the second half:

Last year we put our foot on the pedal against the Spurs in game 1 and never let up. We beat the holy hell out of a very good team.

And where did it get us?

The playoffs are a marathon. It's not about how much you win each game by, it's about winning 4 out of 7 consistently. This year's team has enough veterans on it to know this. They jumped out to a big lead by putting 100% into it, then dropped the effort just enough to coast to an easy win in the second half.

And before you say, "We can't get away with that against the Warriors"... OF COURSE we can't. There's no way the Rox will get a 20-point first half lead against the Dubs and think "Okay, we've got this one locked down."

This is a smart, smart basketball team. They win this series by putting in enough effort to do it in 4 or 5 games and hopefully not get injured. Then we'll focus on Golden State and what we need to do to get past those arrogant chumps.

anybody who watched the post-game interviews and listened to PJ Tucker's comments knows that the team is WELL aware of the fact that it lets its foot off the gas after hitting a 20 or 25 point lead. They're working on it.

A win is a win. When you ahve a big double digit lead, you have the luxury of taking a few minutes easily. And this is the NBA. Teams go on runs

There is something about Ingles that annoys me, decent player but he irks me for some reason.

To ne honest, I think Harden and CP3 needed each other. Look at Lebron, as great as he is, dude has to play virtually the whole game without proper rest. That kind of effort will catch up with him, sooner or later.

i think we had the refs on our side. I saw Mitchell get alot of contact and did't get a call. I kept looking at the scoreboard and was amazed he had low points. This will get ugly in Utah with the fans and the refs.

free throws attempts were pretty much identical. unlike the 20+ disparity Golden State got yesterday.

Yes, it will be crazy over there. Good thing the Rockets are an excellent road team. Steal one and we are golden,

Whiners last series: we start too slow & horrible (1st half virtual tie & blowout other team by 15+)
Whiners this game: we started too strong and ended the game horribly (rockets keep opponent at bay 15pt lead)
