Yao is due for a 40+ point explosion, while shooting over 50% from the field.

Boozer went 41-12, but most of his points were jumpers from PnR, and tough jumpers over Yao. Although it seems that Yao couldn't do anything about his jumper, I still feel that's the right move of JVG. With Yao defending Boozer, you don't need to double him, and Boozer can't really rollover Yao or put him into foul trouble. So his jumper is on tonight, but he has to rely on his jumper the whole series. He's not going to open anything for Okur, unlike playing other teams. Just imagine, if some other playoff teams have to double Boozer, which opens up for Okur's jumpers, how bad would it be? As long as Boozer is the only one scoring, and I bet he would not be that lucky in those jumpers next 2 games, I am comfortable with the game.

In any case, when we head back to Utah, we really have to buckle down and get in playoff mode. If we play like we did tonight against a hostile crowd, it's going to be a helluva battle.

That's really alarming. Head and Skip have to shoot much better in the backcourt or else Utah will make a comeback.

jazz are like a t-mac less rockets. boozer is their yao, he lays the foundation, but without a t-mac of their own to close up shop.

Again that's JVG's fault. What an ugly face.

Great win! But we need to find an answer for Boozer when we go to Utah. He scored too easily.

We need more contributions from the bench (Howard, Luther, etc.). I would also like to see Yao more aggressive and attempt to dunk when he gets offensive rebounds near the rim. We need him to be a monster to blow out the Jazz.

Victory! We're sitting pretty right now.

It's pretty simple, if we keep shooting in the mid 30's we're gonna lose on the road as they'll get a few more calls and the boosts of energy from the crowd. Also can't count on Okur sucking so much. If we can just shoot the ball esp. from 3 like we normally do against this pretty gritty Utah D, we can sweep.

Neither TMac or Yao set the world on fire tonight, but they both stepped up and made the right plays when it counted.

That alley-oop to Yao was sick.

Okay, we've now won 2 while playing some mediocre offense and horrendous shooting. Hopefully, we can bring our A-game offensively in Utah, because we're not going to get as many calls up there. The 3s will HAVE to start falling. And I love T-Mac to death, but he does need to reign in his long range shots when there's 20 seconds on the shot clock.

Rockets will play better on the road. They have proven it all season that they play much better on the road. I am glad they will get 2 days to prepare and rest a little.

I presume that must rank as one of the worst combined 3 point shooting performances in playoff history :)

    5 of 33 = 15.15%

Thankfully, our freethrow shooting compensated. 34 of 38 v 13 of 17 for Jazz.

Ugly game, but good win to make it 2-0.

Kudos to Chuck Hayes. He should have kids more often :D
