    Yep...

And I'm trying not to start trouble now. There's enough silly fights on this bbs already (the latest being the Yao vs. TMac thing flaring up again).

No it doesn't prove that. We had leads while Yao Ming was scoring as well. It just so happened that we were also behind for much of the time. We won, but Yao continued to score while we won. It was Yao's dunk that put us on top.

Either Tracy or Yao can do it for us. But together we stand the best chance. To presume that Yao needs to tone down the scoring so Tracy can score is just ridiculous. I am glad that you aren't coaching the team.

We should be happy that both players ended up having good games.

Yao Ming kept our team afloat while TMac was on ice.

If Yao is not first team all NBA this year, it's because of his leg.

Next year, though, he had better get it, or someone should be fired.

Not even close. That Van Gundier never afraid of starting any kind of trouble. Now tell us something about money ball and see if you are the genuine one. ;)

    1. “that alone makes him more important”
I have shown the logic in my last post with that analogy. I suggest you to read it again and think it over. If you didn't get it, fine, this is not science. Enjoy.
    2. "Unfortunately we stuck with Alston, he actually played decent recently, especially on D, but he is the main reason Yao relying solely on Tmac."
This is not Yao's fault, right? The team had the obligation to feed him the ball when he got position, unfortunately, Yao didn't get the supply, as you said, only TMAC can ensure he get the ball. Please don't underrate Yao by saying the 2-9 while the team failed to feed him. Regarding "just telling the truth based on the regular season.", I know 2-9 is statistics. I know it's data. Actually I play with scientific data every day. If you like, you can get hundreds of totally different interpretations of the exactly same dataset. I can tell you, quite a few guys on this forum just draw a conclusion first and SELECT data or statistics to support it while IGNORE what they don't like. This is not objective. This is called data manipulation.

Again, let me weaken your logic: When cataclysm comes, people need bread rather than gold. In that scenario, bread is better or more important than gold. In this sense, I agree with you.

Which Jazz player makes you feel most uncomfortable when you see him playing on the court? I have to cross my fingers everytime when Matt Hapring was playing and hoping that no one in our team got hurt. He went after the offensive rebounds every time. He is not the kind of player that fought for position to grab the rebounds but he actually smashed through the crowd instead. That was quite dangerous considering our players often back to him facing the board and not expecting him smashing in. IIRC, he knocked down Yao badly once in the game, and he definitely knocked down other Rockets last evening.

Derek Fisher scares me. Brings back memories of what he did in 2004 when we played the Lakers in the 1st round.

I'd say we would owe it to Yao for keepin us in the game throughout the sloppy first half.

Heh... Moneyball is for the summer... no more players to be signed or traded until the offseason (which I hope, for the Rockets, won't come for a couple more months).

There are some interesting stats from the now completed regular season, though... like:

Agree 100%. I think that if Yao is an American, white or black, there won't be so much divisiveness. This is the only board where the fans put down one of their star players even if he is the only one playing well. Sad to say, no objectivity in whatever arguments put forward, only tries to put their own idols on a pedestal and will not accept anybody else's opinions.

It also appears to me that most of the SOF have been reincarnated as TOF. Well, as long as we have that 7' 5" Chinese stiff playing for the rockets this is going to be the situation. Pathetic!
