good win even though we played really bad. it seems like when both yao and tmac are off we have no offense. we really didnt look like a championship team tonight. a win is a win though.

 

yes, IN THIS GAME harpring was clearly better than battier.

 

i still don't understand how boozer average over 20 and 10. He's strong but his jumper is average and his post moves are average. He isn't a great leaper either....

 

Who was that rocket who tripped at halfcourt?

 

AK47 can still be a good player. utah just doesn't use him now w/ too many weapons. he's taking 6 shots a game for god sakes. any player would suck w/ that few shots.

 

Rafer plated 46 minutes, and nearly a triple=double!

 

tmac, or else we would have seen yao throw it off the backboard to tmac for a windmill slam

The refs actually gave Yao some calls. I could tell because there was no sense of outrage on the game thread. I can't say the same about how the refs treated Shaq though LOL.

 

yao got superstar calls tonight. shaq didn't. coincidence

 

He is very good. Great finisher around the basket, soft touch. Problem for him is that he is going against Yao. It's the intimidation factor. Just a tough matchup for him.

I am not gonna cry for him though.

 

well with Game 1 in the books, Im glad we came away with the win.

the Rox did not play well but neither did the jazz. okur and boozer both had off nights and if they continue to play like they did tonight, it will be an easy series. lets hope shane plays better, our bench hits a couple more shots, and tmac takes his 2nd half to the rest of the playoffs. all 3 are easily capable .....we played bad and still won.

 

Our Pick and Roll defense just doesn't look all that great, as usual. We were very lucky Okur and Boozer missed so many shots with wide open looks.

Trust me, I'm MORE than happy with the win, but I've got a little JVG in me. There's always something to imrove.

the 2nd half was totally different, I seriously don't understand JVG here. In the first half they ran basically zero plays and hoped for t-mac and yao to penetrate and create, in teh 2nd half they actually ran plays to get our stars the ball in scoring positions.

 

I meant done as in injured.

 

Anyone else notice Harpring looked like he wanted to murder everyone?

 

again, we need to rebound better. JVG and I can't stress it enough. i told the team earlier after shootaround along w/ JVG, but they don't listen.

me and JVG will go back to the drawing board tonight to figure out the best lineup for our pathetic rebounding.

what a turning point though, that missed layup

harpring, giricek, and of course williams killed us though...we need to check that.

Also, luther needs to step it up next game...he looked a little crazy
