Nuggets sat their starters. Another aspect here is it keeps the Spurs within distance of passing the Suns.
Late to the party due to some fam obligations. Just finished watching on dvr. Great massacre of the hated Jiizz!!! Particularly enjoyed the 4Q Shep-Show Extravaganza!!!! 50 wins and playoff bound! LFG
2nb2b (after 2x OT) and a "calculated" risk by Denver, but they gambled resting their starters. They won't own the tie-breaker with Lakers due to LA being a division winner. Their remaining SOS are even and they don't matchup again. Denver thought the Spurs were easier pickings than what actually happened, because a dub prob raised their 3-seed chances by 10-20%. Both games were in Denver (no travel) and their starters could've had a 20-minute restriction against SA. Glad they lost. Per usual, time will tell the overall outcome...
The last quarter with the bench in the game was pure entertainment. They played hard like they want more minutes and kept the Rockets foot on the Jazz's throat, which is what we love to see against the Jazz. Cam with bully ball and some nice kick out assists. Watching Cam's garbage time minutes against the jazz and suns and the game against OKC, Rockets would be stupid to give up on him. The guy is a pure bucket getter. Just like Collier on the Jazz he is very solidly built. You need guys like that on your team to beat down the opposition. Reeds shooting was sooo pure, just didn't look like he was going to miss. I wonder how many rookies that have hit 5 threes in a quarter. That assist to Landale was beautiful as well. Its amazing what being able to shoot can do for your offense. I look forward to seeing what he does over the off season. I think Fred needs to go to the bench, and play less minutes. It is obvious too much playing time is degrading his body and ability from game to game.
has anyone got another angle of the Dillon kick? Doesn't even look to me like he got him in the balls
why did den lose that game intentionally? They had 4 starters and 5 total key players out. Are they intentionally trying to get 4th place?
Man these lame techs remind me of the JB Bickerstaff rant after Lu Dort stepped onto his own teammate's foot and fell but the refs stopped the game to check whether Cade committed a "hostile" act.
Awesome win, Reed getting hot was just the cherry on top. Brooks technical won’t get rescinded, but honestly the one that got him ejected should have. I counted the Thunder game as a loss anyway so it’s all good. I really hate how FVV coming back causes Tari and Bari to be bench players, because Ime refuses to bring Amen off the bench.
I was not expecting the bolded word. I was expecting "him", I would use "Green". Either the bolded word, "him", or "Green" is probably better than the FVV, Green, Amen starting lineup which outside the last Phoenix game has sucked. I will say I think Ime has done a great job. I expected the FVV, Green, Amen starting lineups to perform better so I don't fault Ime for trying it. I could see still trying to get it to work, but needs to be in less minutes. I think the Rockets are at a point that Ime needs to tell one of FVV, Green, and Amen that they aren't a starter the rest of this year. From a managing people perspective, I would not tell Amen he's coming off the bench as he will be a starter in the long term and better than the other two. That's the relationship I care most about if I'm Ime. FVV is better than Green now (well before his injury he was), and the Rockets likely want to be on good terms with him in the offseason to be re-signed at a Rocket-friendly contract. The organization still appears to be in bed with Green in the long term. Stone probably wants to maintain this relationship.
