It was pretty much over when Korver came in and knocked down back to back 3's. That was a HUGE momentum swinger.

Still, valiant effort by the guys. I saw a bunch of players throwing themselves on the floor and battling as hard as they can. In the end, the cream will always rise to the top, and the Jazz have a far superior team.

As I've said before the series, I am just looking for a sign that this team will battle hard and never quit, no matter what. I saw that tonight, and hopefully we will at least keep our effort level up and play hard. That's all I can ask for.

Look, I am all for being a fan and a homer and all that, but it really starts to get pretty annoying after a while. There is nothing wrong with having a logical discussion about our own team, there is nothing wrong with not having blinders on. You can root for the team and not expect them to win a championship; incredibly enough, it's doable.

At some point, it starts to sound like a bunch of adults who still believe in Santa Claus.

I say, GO ROCKETS...and just do your best. Nothing to lose, right?

The difference in the game is they can hit LAYUPS AND FREETHROWS! They are not that great, we are just that bad. We are a Lottery Team playing above our head without Yao.

My eyes hurt.......this game was terrible...It no way the rockets should be able to sleep tonight......If we win game 2 in a great fashion then I would believe we could still win the series, but if we lose game 2.....Sweepology

It seems like Korver always starts a run for Utah that breaks our backs........I wish they still had Giricek. :(

Are we the only one who lost homecourt today?

I'm more upset with RA than I am with Novak. RA never should have put in him in the game. He's just too much of a liability defensively.

Our team didn't play with the same mojo as we have witnessed i nthe season.

    We can't win like this.

we need alston back BADDDDD...bobby jackson is ok as a backup since he knows the offense but other than that, we need alstons offense!!

FREE THROWS suck...we knew it would hurt us

and the turning point was def when adelman took mutombo out and he didn't want to come out...that changed everything

    Liabilities on offense are:

Hayes (can't we please get a decent PF?)
Jackson (makes some want to commit suicide a.k.a. wish for Wafer)
Mutumbo (we love you Deke, but on offense, you stink)
Head (Bad passes are his specialty)
Scubola (No layup is too easy to miss)
TMac (Wait till he gets hot from the outside and bombs away)

No wonder we can't score ....

this guy cant play at all. Everytime he shoots the ball everybody thinks he is going to make it, and then he doesn't. His man always goes off. Matt Bullard is 10 times better than he will ever be.

Yes, yes we did lose the game because of Novak. His defense was horrible and cost the rockets momentum losing back to back threes. The guy looked lost the entire game.

If this was a 5 game series if would have been nice..

Then I won't have to wait 4 games to be 100% sure the playoffs are over for the Rockets.

This is the only home team that did not win today. I would imagine that they might win game 2 but their track record at Utah suggest that it would be 3-1 for the Utah and playing in Houston for the series. But that's what we all hope. It can very likely be 4 and out.

But at least this time, I wouldn't be so sad. No team in their right mind would think that losing 2 starters and one of them a legit all star and best center in the league would not affect things.

They were saying Boozer is one of 4 in the league with 20 and 10. Last I checked, Yao was doing 22 and 11. So, this was a forgone conclusion we blind Rockets fans didn't want to believe.

Through on top of that you lose you starting PG, and that just about takes the cake. Like Alston or not, he is the starting PG for a reason. He is better than BJ. That 3 or 15 stinker didn't make me feel any better Alston is not playing.

Also, that 1 for 3 performance by Deke, who by the way did great things on the defensive end, sure didn't help the scoring column either.

But most disappointing is Carl Laundry! Where in the world is Carl Laundry, who is this imposer who is out there? The Rocets had a snowballs chance in Hell IF CL was playing up to his usual great self. This guy is a liability out there. No one worth their salt and want to be called a PF in the NBA should ever be mentioned as "blocked by K Korver", The Carl we all loved would have broken Korver's hand on the way to a thunder dunk. This imposter tried to lay it up and gets blocked. Enough said.

Missed too many easy layups and free throws. That tells us that our guys don't have the faith to win against Jazz. They are not confident and are afraid .

Incapability in rebounds, terrible FTs and stupid turnovers killed us. Rafer was out, T-mac never took over it, backup didn't stand out, and B-Jax sucked his f**ing ass!

Totally agree. Nobody could make those shots inside. Nobody could hit open shot. We didn't bring any help for SHane Tracy and Scola.

We couldn't make free throws. Just too bad.

last week after Tmas was bricking all those 3's, we all asked for Novak to get some minutes because he can shoot it better than Tmac.

I think the rockets played too careful! They tried to drive to the basket too much, and obviously the jazz dominated the paint! They should have tried to shoot more 3pts!

The rockets should try to take some rasks! We are too conservative to win now!
