What a beauty it would be to beat Jazz with rookies like Harris, Brooks, Landry and Scola.

I am confident that Brooks will take care of Deron. They do not have as efficient a PG as last year for a backup, so we have the advantage there. My only concerns are boozer and okur. Hayes can take care of Boozer, I'm sure. he gave him a heck of a problem last year.

I am pretty sure we will win the first game... but I`m also pretty sure this series will go to game 7.

Damn, already game thread? Right now I don't feel playoffs atmosphere but I know Saturday will be so nervous.

Damn it is good to polay at home especially with Utah really struggling on the road. We need to take adventage of it.

Of course keys to the game, Tracy McGrady. He hasn't been shoting the ball well last month but we all know he is extra motivated for PLAYOFFS. And I hope he will really step up in the series.

First of all, Tracy can't dribble much. Of course Adelman should ban Tracy from playing PNR because it is easy way to double him. Play him off the ball, but him on the high post, set some srceens off the ball for him, don't allow him to be PG, like he was last year. He was haldling the ball 90% of the time and that's a big reasy why he was struggling i belive, this year without Yao he has to be a SCORER first.

What I wanna say to Tracy is damn, you have still 3 days off so please practice your jumpshots, 3s and FREE THROWS. Again, Tracy you need to be AGRESSIVE. Just drive to the basket most of the time, draw fouls, get to the ft line and make easy shots inside. Stay agressive on the offensive end, jumper will come.

Everybody in Rockets' roster HAS TO step up. Damn players have to make shots, the have to creat their own shot, move the ball, and just knock down shots. Don't ever fall in love with those 3s, better attack the rim. Bench - damn don't do what last year's bench did. Compete.

Defense - play good team defense, don't let them have open jumpers, don't send them to the ft line to often. Just comunicate, stay agressive, put effeort and play with HEART and ENERGY.

    GO HOUSTON ROCKETS ! ! !

All the experts of ESPN have the Jazz winning in 6 or 7. Nobody in the basketball world thinks the Rockets have much of a chance....

It's time ... to prove everyone wrong.

Last years players should be very motivated, Scola is always motivated (the wild card), and the rookies need to get highly motivated. Most importantly, TMac must, and I mean MUST awake from his shooting stupor. I would coach some serious preemptive physicality. Scola, Landry, and Hayes can push people around, but they must do it intelligently to avoid foul trouble. I actually have a good feeling at this point. Battier hasn't been in the playoffs much, but I don't think he has ever won a playoffs game. He must come up big on defense and shooting. The Rockets are not likely to win in Utah, so every home game is absolutely critical. Rockets in seven.

I agree in order for the rockets to win in the first round, McGrady will have to be "TMAC" and the role players like Jackson, Scola, and Battier will need to have big series. In addition, Carl Landry will have to be the garbage man who cleans it all up. If all that happens Rockets can win in 6.

Battier's actually been in the playoffs 4 times I believe, but has never won a series........agree with all your points.....also we must get back to our level of defensive intensity during the win streak......back when we were holding teams to 23 points in the first half.........this team (and especially Tmac) has another gear that only few other teams can match.....the ability to impose their will and intensity despite the officiating, loss of Yao, or whatever obstacle is present....I'm sure we all remember a month ago when they played so hungry they were already killing teams by 20 in the second quarter....they need to find that gear again by tipoff on Saturday and unleash hell in every quarter of the series.....

Adelman to the Rockets: "What is best in life?"

The Rockets: "To crush the Jazz, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women."

tmac and the rest of the squad gotta find the right mix. this year's squod is good enough to win a game when tmac is off, BUT. not for 4 games. tmac is also good enough win a game when everyone else is gone, but not for 4 games. as he said in game 7, i was tired.

now, we have the right ingrediants to blend tmac with the supporting cast. we just have to execute, and not get distracted and lose focus.

win our games at home. most important thing against utah.

T-Mac's gotta get out of his slump. He actually doesn't have to shoot all that much. He's right that it's on the team this season, not him. But he needs to be efficient. 2-11 nights like he had against the Clips yesterday are not gonna cut it. And if he's got Kyle Friggin Korver on him, ATTACK THE DAMN BASKET!!!

The other key is defense. The Rockets seem to play great D when they're motivated, so hopefully they can shut down the Jazz offense.

I know all the "experts" are picking the Jazz to win in 6 or 7 games due to their home dominance, but they forget that the Rockets have lost only one home game in almost 3 months.

Will DVR the game and watch it Sunday when we get back....

DANG......anyone want to guess if I can hold out and not look at the score on the I-phone?

    :D

    Rockets win by 7.
