These comments are totally unfair. Tracy McGrady had a bad game by his/our standards but he wasn’t putting blame on other people … heck even Yao was yelling at his teammates for not screening like they were supposed to. From Jonathan Feigen’s blog at the Houston Chronicle Jonathan, It looks like Yao was yelling at somebody after the game, do you have any insight on what that's about? Did someone screw up the last play? Thanks Jason Jason, I believe there was supposed to be a screen. I don't know who was supposed to set it I would not make too much of his frustration after. It would probably be a bigger deal if he wasn't. Jonathan
somehow i remember when the rox were making the championship runs in the 90's that if it came down to crunch time (if we were within a few points or in overtime) we would always win. with our rox, I'm biting my nails if we are not up by 20 w/ 4 min left.
Exactly......it is a matter of imposing your will on the other team.....the current team does not do that. DD
Is the sky falling? No, but its pretty damn close... I wish we would have won, but we didn't...It does highlight that we better shape up or we're one and done...
That's right. I love the way Bonzi is playin' But when will he come back? I don't know, but i hope he will be ready for the PO
I guess the Jazz fans are right. TMAC is the X-factor in Jazz/Rockets series. Yao will score as usual and he will be countered by Okur/Boozer/AK47. The whole series all depends on how TMAC performs.
Blame our big guy who fought like a warrior from the start to the end is purely ridiculous. He got 35/16 and we lost by 3. Is that the so-called contribution your ****ing eyes can witness from the game?
One call changed the momentum. We got that Boozer charge all night long but they finally called it against us when it mattered. I thought Williams would murder us but I'm not as concerned about him in comparison to Okur. Lets be frank. The only player that showed up was Yao. Everybody else made a cameo appearance and nothing more.
Snyder has talent. But the "mental mistakes" and not staying in the team concept is why he is no longer in Utah.
I think this game did have some positives, we had a competitve game down to the last possession even though we were down 13 early, which means that this will most likely be a 6 or 7 game series. Secondly our best shooter was out of the game, we lost by a 3 pointer, I'd have to think Luther could have had at least a +3 effect in the game. We basically lost home court advantage, but thats not losing a playoff game, we are a good road team, we went in there and took 2 from dallas a couple years back. Our 3 best players have too much first round loss to let it fall apart another year,. Remember battier has never won a playoff game before, let alone a series.
If kobe say this way, he said 1000 times. He is not to . He just made it or not. I am not lakers fans, but I must confess Kobe is much solid than T-mac. T-mac never say anything he did no good; always others fault.
well without the height advantage in the backcourt maybe fisher would've replied with a few 3's of his own. the jazz shot poorly beyond the perimeter. anyway the guys who ultimately made the difference were giricek and jarron freakin' collins. that just has to be poor defense.
Stop your whining. There were about 30 other calls that went Houston's way during that game when they should not have. We won, you lost. It was in a couple of newspapers.
Are you seriously going to excuse Yao from the loss because he put up huge numbers? He shot 11-24 from the field. That's not Yao-like. If he shoots like he normally does, he gets at least 40 points. More importantly, his bad pick-and-roll defense late in the 4th quarter cost us. He was clearly fatigued. I never said he was the solely the reason why we lost, but what's wrong with giving him part of the blame (which is an accurate btw)?
