I had a hard time watching the first quarter of the Rockets game right after watching the Mavs game...

I think Tracy shouldve shot it,when he was in the corner,he was quite open. But,checking the Hotzones on nba.com, he is 1-7 from that right corner, for the whole year,no wonder he didnt shoot. But come on,he wasted like a very useful half of a second..maybe even more.

You miss 100% of the shots you dont take i guess..

This one was looking good, till JL3 shot a three at the end,if it was him:cool:.

tmac cost us this game. point blank.

yao struggled in the 4th as he eventually shot below 50% for the game but that's tmac's fault. he didn't help out yao. he was HORRIBLE. as big of a fan as i am, i was really disappointed.

and i dont know why he didn't demand the ball more as yao was obviously tired as u seem him positioning for the position and missing layups. tmac was pathetic. and where was the drive all game from tmac?

i think he didn't want to shoot more (2-4 in the 4th) b/c he was afraid he would miss. bad bad thinking.

yao carried us. yao was the only one who showed up offensively. the rest played like crap.

I was at the game, sporting my new White Rockets Cap, and T-Mac Jersey (sorry no drum - forgot it at home, went straight from work in the a.m. to the game...)

I was very disappointed in the way the Rockets played, on both sides of the court, lack of rebounding (I was the one who yelled: REEE-BOUNDDD!) but especially their offensive shot selections, which weren't too smart... Except for Yao. The Big man was dominant, Hakeem-esque! I was thinking to myself, and was the one screaming: "Can someone else score besides Yao???" Not that it was a big deal where we got our points, but AT SOME POINT, Yao was gonna go to the bench to rest... Where else would we score? It wasn't till late in the 2nd, early second half that the rest of the Rockets woke up! At least Shane, T-Mac, and Alston...

Anyway, on that 3 point shot late in the 4th Quarter that was taken by Alston, I was like: "Jeez... Why don't we just tie the game and send it into OT?" Granted, the Jazz, would had probably scored, but there would had been more pressure on them to score, with a tie game, instead up by 2 with 1:30 left in the game...

And from one of the callers that was on the late night fan feedback with Matt Jackson, a caller said that Shane Battier should have taken that 3 point shot, from Yao Ming but Matt Jackson had said that Yao had his back turned and probably would had not found him... even if he wanted to. The fan then continued to say why didn't we play more from our guards??? Jackson said, well, you have Alston who played 43 minutes, and Lucas III, 5 minutes... That Head would have had ice water in his veins and woulda hit that shot... Finally, Jackson concluded that with Lucas, what he needs to learn, once he develops more experience, is how to handle himself in those kinds of situations when the game is on the line... (I did want Battier to take that shot over Alston, who missed a 3 earlier, and especially over T-Mac since his outside shooting has been horrid as of late!)

All in all, I CRINGED when Lucas III was in the game... Everytime. :(

In conclusion, I was a bit disappointed that we had lost the game, though I was sitting with the Red Rowdies. We need to up our basketball IQ from today's game, otherwise, when we're in Salt Lake City, UT, playing the Jazz, we will be done and done... Not meaning to sound negative, but our track record in Utah, since Malone and Stockton have vanished from their team, hasn't been that good, especially on THEIR home court... :(

BUT... If everyone gets into the equation, and play Houston Rockets Basketball, the way we know that they can, with High IQ decisions, then we will without a doubt, beat them! :)

I still believe tmac can dominate. I honestly just believe he will do wha is necessary in the playoffs, which is drive first, then take jumpers. No need to risk injury for no reason. He'll b like his old self. Yao did great. Cant b mad at the guy for stamina when he had 40 minutes. When was the last time shaq had 40 minutes? we need our bench to step up more. We need luther and bonzi back. Overall, we can still win and dominate. I think we can get outta the 1st round if mac drives and yao plays as he is. Chuck and battier doin what they need to. I cant blame rafer for takin the shot, it was a good look and if he doesnt have the confidence to take the shot, how does he build it in the playoffs? Luther's clutch shootin would have helped a lot. Still think for us to win the west a little more depth is crucial, look at dallas, sa, and phoenix, but we can contend with anyone on any given night. Just me 2 cents

OK then, tell me why I'm wrong. I haven't lost any "credit". Bring it. Tell me why Yao's fatigue late in the game didn't contribute to us losing. Good luck with that, that is... if you're goal is being right.

Interesting, i didn't know that. Its kinda ironic since its the shortest 3 and the easiest to make for most player. I don't blame t-mac too much since it was obvious the play was broken and no one know where they sappose to be on the floor.

Anyway, I'm not gonna act like a TOF or a YOF and believed we lost collectively as a team. If everyone played their role, we win..its that freakin simple. We just didn't make shot that we normally make or else we wouldn't be in a position to tie at the end.

F**k you to the people who blame yao who gave it all he got for 3 qtrs and a half. he did what he was sappose to do and carry us for 3 qtrs on both end and he just ran out of gas late in the 4th. Dude is 7-6 300lb and he has his limit especially come off of an injury.

If Rafer hit that 3 and won us the game, we would've been anointing him with MVP chants.

But he didn't and 2/3rds of the time he would be called on to make that shot, he won't.

Which is not good enough on a team with Yao and Tmac getting open shots.

40% 3pters should be the norm for any decent shooter on this team playing with Yao and Tmac.

Darn, too bad Luther wasn't playing. If he was, I bet we woulda won big time. 5-17 from downtown isn't something that we should expect on a regular basis against these Jazz clowns, despite how they defend the 3. Once Luther is back and gets into shape, we'll whoop the Jazz.

If T-mac was HALF back we'd whoop the Jazz.

What? Yao to blame for the loss? Well, there are many YoH here, It was because of Yao we only loss by 3. And yes, TMac is a loser. A buck passer who doesn't own up to his failings.
