The problem with that is that he needs to know his limitations. His 3 ball was no where to be found all night. Thus in that situation, you go to the basket for a 2...and not rafer..he needed to get that to T-Mac and let him drive. Tmac did not do his part to help Yao ming this game. But, maybe the Roxs will go on a tear as a result of this.

One thought I also had is maybe it's not to the Roxs advantage to have home court. We go to LA and win close games on the road and come home and just coast, like the jazz are going to lay down.

Now that I've calmed down a bit, this is the second best all-around game Yao has had all season.

He's been averaging 32.6 PPG, 14 RPG and 2.6 BPG over the last 3 games. I think we can safely say that the old Yao is back, hell that the EVEN newer Yao has come.

I don't see how that'll motivate this current Rockets team. None of these guys were playing in that series.

You wanna motivate them? Make them watch Game 7 against the Mavs from 2 years ago.

Very dissappointed in the way the Rockets played, except for the big fella.

Was at the game and the crowd even sucked. The rowdies did their part, but the arena was pretty dead, I thought. The game was hard to watch, we got off to such an awful start. When TMAC is on early, we get out to a hot start and then things seem to fall into place. It was clear early on his shot was WAY off. Never did improve outside of one hot stretch.

Yao was dominant, although late was 2 of 8 in the 4th qtr after a rest on the bench. Several of those I thought he was fouled, but he still missed shots he usually makes. We could have beaten Utah with no more than YAO.

The defense on the Jazz was pretty good, tough shots were going in, but they were also clanking alot of shots like we were. We shut down Boozer and Harpring until right at the end. I think we will be okay, but our other players really need to pick it up, other than Yao, and possibly TMAC, no one else did enough to get this team to the second round in a really big game at home. That's the dissappointment, the disappearance of our supporting cast. Maybe Juwan's shooting slump is over, next we need Luther back and out of his slump.

Any word on Bonzi? We could have used some toughness, post up scoring and any kind of lift from the bench.

As long as we can learn from this game, we'll be fine.

There were also at least 3 bad calls by the refs. Twice, we were fouled and made the basket, but they called the foul before the shot (once w/ McGrady, once w/ JL3). The last play when Battier was called for a blocking foul, it was clearly a charge. He feet were set, and he was outside the semicircle. Instead, Boozer got the 3 pt play.

i'm kind of glad we lost actually.. b/c the repercussions of the Jazz winning are undeniable.. players will lose SOME sense of urgency.. that's a fact. i hope we lose the last game too.

we're a better road team anyways. the TC doesn't ever cheer ALL the time.

How much more time can we give them? Didn't they blow a similar lead in LA just last game?

T-mac lost his edge.. he's not the confident guy from 04-05.

and his release isn't as good as the great shooters.. he uses his off thumb when he shoots and this throws off consistency.

The problem is ,there is still 10 seconds on the clock and we are only down by 2. Now let's say he make the shot and we are up by1.There is still 10 seconds left for the Jazz to possibly win the game.

That's actually not the problem. I would love to be in that situation anytime. I'd rather be up by 1 with 10 seconds left than down by 2 with 10 the same amount of time. The problem is, that wasn't a high % shot for him. He was not going to make it. Even if he made, I would still be pissed at him, even if we did win the game.

Shooting Slump?? If our team is only as good as tonight- 1st round and rest for the summer!! Question what will Morey do in the offseason?
Possibly about six of our players were playing with the flu and just made a brave showing . JVG what is the answer?

I didn't get to see the game, but both teams shot 38%, whoa, another clunker. The series is apparently going to be a basketball version of mud-wrestling. Watching the Suns and Mavs draining shots, looking so fluid, and athletic, makes me jealous. If TMac keeps shooting this poorly, we have no chance in any series. The team can't keep giving him 25-30 shots for him to make at 30% or less, that dog won't hunt. Without TMac clicking on all cylinders, game, set, match. Our role players can't sustain a consistent offense. Thank God for Yao, but he can't do it by himself.
