I just rewatched the play with Rafer, with 12.8 secs left Tmac blows by his defender going to the basket... Deron Williams is on Rafer, who leaves him wide open going to over to get infront of Tmac

When rafer gets the ball... its 12.2 secs left, and Kirilinko is deciding to run at HIM or run at Lucas, who would be wide open if the Jazz rotated accordingly... they didnt, Rafer was OPEN.... yes deron tried to close in, but he wasnt really close when rafer released the shot... had no effect what so ever.

    TAKE THE OPEN 3, RAFER!!

I saw the Phoenix-Dallas game and it was beautiful. One great shot after another. Great passing and ball movement. Guys shooting with confidence. Then I watched the Rockets-Jazz and it was like the National Butchers Association. Clank, Clank, Clank. The Mavericks probably not too worried about either team. We really need to get a couple of guys who can make some shots.

Youre missing the point which is that it was the right shot but we need ANOTHER PG to take the shot, one that is consistent and make it. RAFER brings nothing, and dont say ballhandling, because there is not one PG in the NBA who cant handle the ball. Thats a basic skill.

the only chance we can win over utah is TMAC being himself! C.BOOZER had bad game and you can not contain him for 7-games series. His PnR is dangerous, will hurt us badly.

he took 24 shots already. Juwan is 4/8 today, which is not bat at all considering the whole team is below 40%.

Rafer? forget him. His shots are all OPEN.

Do you still believe he is explosive? He took an ugly hook when he should have gone for the dunk because he apparently lost his explosiveness.

This game was lost due to a tired Yao. He gave all he had and noone else step up. Yao missed or lost the last 4 possessions for THE ROCKETS

pryuen, stop sucking up to Yao. His lack of stamina contributed to the loss as much as anything. It is no coincidence that Yao was exhausted in the 4th quarter and we gave up 27 points in the 4th quarter (the most of any of the 4 quarters). Sure, he put up monster numbers, but if you ask Yao (our most efficient scorer), he'll tell you 11-24 FG is not too sexy. If he was efficient at all today, he'd have 40+.

He got 35 because of his aggressiveness to not take as many jumpers and get to the line. To get 15 FT attempts is great and is a tribute to his aggression. He still took too many jumpers IMO. I certainly hope his stamina can improve. We can't afford to see him tire off in the playoffs.

For those of you focused on Rafer's missed 3 (and I knew from the moment it left his hands it was off...), you're missing the point...

Rafer lost this game the moment he had to guard Deron Williams. Yao, TMAC, Battier and everybody else cannot make up for Rafer's lack of desire on defense. I don't give a sh*t how many steals he has in the season...

There's absolutely NOBODY who fears being guarded by Rafer, and not a SINGLE team that fears leaving him wide open for shots, no matter where he takes them.

Short of Rafer experienceing some kind of miracle over the off-season, so that he can at least shoot like a REAL PG, I am all for shipping his sorry excuse for a PG-ass out of Houston for someone who will drive to the basket, hack the shi*t out of his man when it's called for and generally put the fear of God in the other team...

If everyone on this board can see that we're playing with 4.5 players against 5 any time Rafer's on the court, why can't JVG see it? I do notice Lucas getting more minutes of late, but it's only because of Head's absence.

If we lose to the Jazz in the first Round I want JVG and Rafer's asses shipped out on the FASTEST PLANE TO NO FREAKIN WHERE!!!!!!

Two things I can't stand are stupidity and weakness (softness) in a PG, and sadly we have both!!!

What do you guys think is happening with Mutombo? Showing his age? He is not nearly effective as he was earlier in the season. We will need him for the playoffs to shut down the middle and to get some rebounds.

"There was miscommunication on a couple of guys' part," McGrady said of the last possession. "They didn't know where to go and they didn't set screens. I couldn't get open and nobody could get open."

What a Loser! You couldn't close the game and blame on other people.

O really? IIRC, the 2nd last possession, it was Tmac who gave the ball to Rafer, who decided to jack up a 3. The last possession Tmac ran to the corner for a 3, but decided to give the ball to Yao when we were down by 3 points, only to get it back with about 2 secs left for a horrible look. I agree that a tired Yao was part of the reason we lost, but that was not the one and only reason. Besides, why was Yao tired, why did he have to be on the floor for so long? Maybe its because no one could hold the lead when Yao sat down to rest. So, I dont see how you can say the game was lost due to a tired Yao, and how he missed or lost the LAST FOUR possessions for rox.
