As I said earlier in this thread, we really need a third scoring option, this game just pointed out this weakness on our team. BONZI BONZI BONZI...
I wonder if R2K's gonna put that last missed three by Rafer in the highlights. Cause r2k is the only one on this board that still supports Rafer.
wow, i can't wait to see 4 more games like this in the playoffs, b/c that's all we'll get to play if we play like this
After watching this game, I'm not so sure anymore if the Rockets can beat the Jazz.............. When the pressure was on they cracked like an egg.
i'm sorry tmac just isnt clutch... yea rafer shouldnt have shot it but tmac shouldnt have passed it..
The Jazz had 70 points with 4:40 left after that Juwan offensive rebound and putback. They finished the game with 86. The Rockets did stink offensively in the first half, but their defense(or lack thereof) lost them this game. Beating the Jazz is very basic. Make them a jumpshooting team. If you let them get inside every time down the floor and give up either layups or free throws, you're screwed. And BTW, forget about homecourt. Unless the Rockets win every remaining game this season(possible, but unlikely), we're starting the playoffs in Utah.
this is jeff van gundy we're talking about here, a guy who called for a yao ming fadeaway 3 that fell 10 feet short in one game. this was an improvement.
Unfortunatly this has been the team's MO all year, they are a mentally weak squad. When the going gets tough, the Rockets settle for jumpers....while other teams smartly go to the basket. And the biggest problem with the Rockets and the reason I don't think the team really has a chance this year is Rafer Alston at PG. 10 seconds to go and he shoots a wide open 3 point shot....when there was plenty of time, and we don't need a 3...... He wanted to be the hero instead of playing smart, while their PG passes the ball on a nice pick and roll to Boozer to close us out. Granted it was a BULL**** call on Battier....he was there and set, but going to the basket puts the onus on the officials and the aggressor generally gets the calls. UGH ! DD
When was the last time Novak even played? If the guy doesn't get any time how would he be expected to come in during a clutch situation and make a 3.
WHAT THE F&*K WERE THEY THINKING ON THOSE LAST TWO PLAYS!?!?! F&&K, HOW DID WE LET THAT GAME SLIP AWAY!!
I will forever not understand why Tracy passed that ball back to Yao. Game, time, score, personell. Tmac's gotta do better Or maybe I need to see the replay
