That's a stupid challenge by Mike. It was a foul. And even if he wins it, I would have saved it for more critical situation.
Continuation has different rules on drives. Your release must be within the lower box. I don't think that was. But maybe he was in shooting motion prior to foul??
I hate to say it, but our team has got to learn how to play without Russ. After 50 games, this team is so reliant on his energy.
You're being funny, but I wonder how Harden feels about the Rockets basically building around what was best for Russ and hoping Harden being so good would just fit in. Russ has taken off while Harden has struggled* (struggling for Harden is a 20pt game, lol) with no lob threat. I hope it is just his lingering injuries.
How did they have him so long and never put shooters around him? It just doesn't make sense. Oh well he is still going to the HOF
With the small ball offense so clearly flourishing with Westbrook bringing the ball up, will Harden finally play off-ball? I feel like it would actually be great for him. With no big man he could get a lot of cuts to the rim, open 3s on rotation, or use his iso as a release valve for the offense. Seems like it would save him energy, too.
If Harden had a lob threat against the Suns he would have won that game easy. Without it, he needs to have sustained energy and we all know he can't do that.
Aside from Russ beasting in this new lineup... the individual perimeter defense is looking really good this game. Cov, Rivers, House etc are extremely active and moving their feet really well.
