Harden needs to get in touch with a shooting coach ASAP, ugly shooting. BUT He's playing with much more energy on both ends of the floor & finishing well at the rim, love seeing that.

 

I actually thought the Rockets were getting the benefit of the whistle. I counted atleast 3 or 4 end of the clock bail out calls against the jazz.

I didnt catch the suns games, but in this game and the Lakers, the Rockets perimeter defense is much improved. They are just so much more active and swarming. The ball pressure is pushing the opposing ball handlers well past the 3 point line.

Last but not least, Russ is a beast

 

Tips the ball, makes a great steal and instead
of looking UP the court for a streaking Russ, he
turns around to throw it behind him to PJ who's not even a real ball handler.
Almost walked with that ball.

 

All those double teams through out season has messed up Harden's 3 point shooting.

 

The benefits of playing with shooters. Unlike in OKC

 

They b**** too much about Harden.

Harden has shot over 36% from the 3pt in 4 of his last 5 games. Yeah, his shooting isn't good at the moment, and he definitely should drive more if his shot is off. But as we seen against the Suns, he can take off any moment and hit like 4 3pt shots in a row. Never write Harden off.

 

Rockets winning the FGA battle again (shots on goal), because TOs are 3 to 11 in our favor.

Even the PHX fiasco, we had more shots on goal.

WOW. Russ has the most points in the paint in the league?
Did I hear that correctly?
I can see now why we moved the C position out of the way.
If we had a C that was doing that, sure, we'd keep him.

But, this stat tells all about why we don't see a C much in this offense.
The paint is Russ' office. He's done a good job eliminating the 3 pt shot
and attacking the basket.

But, when WB is out, we need a BIG (see PHX game)

 

I don't get playing 8 men. I like small ball. I like up tempo. But please, no need to go Playoff rotation with Gordy out. It's February 9.

Michael Frazier got minutes 2 weeks ago. Apparently he's not good enough now. I don't get it.
