Considering that both he, and his team, have played better overall this year... you're really confusing.

Sure, he hasn't "improved" as much this year, compared to how he did after his first year, but he's still better.

National commentators like Peter Vecsey deride Shaq for not getting his share of rebounds. On Friday JT the Brick was talking about Shaq's lack of rebounding skills and how it's odd that he cares about getting scored upon but not out-rebounded. So, yes, Shaq does get yelled at, just like Yao.

Maybe, just maybe, Yao is held to a higher standard. Have you ever stated/thought that Yao could/should be a 20/10 guy?

Superstars (and potentials) are held to a higher standard. Never forget that. If Yao is what the majority of this board claims he is, then he's going to get blasted for his bad games. Get used to it.

Everyone is criticizing Yao for his rebound and for his bad game. The difference is that someone criticize, someone say craps.

Who was the last non-black player to be a franchise player? How did Mike James perceive Yao before the trade to Houston? Anyone remember that Milwaukee game when Zaza Pachulia schooled Yao on the boards? That was also the game in which Desmond Mason got the ESPN top highlight of the night for dunking on Yao. What did Mike James think of Yao after that game? As much as JVG can try to force his players to respect Yao, Yao's actions on the court bear the blame for the lack of confidence of his teammates in Yao. I think tonight's game was an anomaly in this recent streak of good games for Yao. However, it was the 1st game with Mike James as the PG. I remember when Sura would never even try to pass to Yao at the beginning. He would just swing the ball around to the other side. During the winning streak, the chemistry on the court was great, but that was because the confidence each player had in one another was very high. Yao is a non-black player. I'm inserting the race card here. Yao will never be able to get the respect among his black peers unless he plays "hard". Look at Sura. Sura is white, but he plays black. The dude is hardcore. Sura has earned the respect of black players. I don't think Yao has. Guys celebrate over dunking on him. Yao has gotta show he can play with the brothers. Lapses like today's game against the Jazz just raises doubts in the minds of his teammates which decreases the team chemistry with Yao.

I remember that Milwaukee game. That's when Yao puked 3 times right afterwards and was hospitalized right? Yeah, talk about schooled. That stomach virus totally kicked his @ss.

Trade Yao Ming for Chris Mihm and a pack of Wrigley's!! :)

First of you, I really respect your knowledge, but the above is a little bit far reaching.

Your persistence is just stunning. It certainly makes me wonder how you perform on your court. I have to beleive that you are top of your profession, whatever that is.

Most people on the board are motivated by something, what is yours?

How do you know he is not playing hard? Are you watching the game without actually setting your expectation sky high? Yao is 7"6 but he has his physical limitation that he cannot jump high. I do believe if he CAN really jump high and grab that damn rebound or dunk that ball at the moment, he will do it. He is working hard and that's why he got into some unnecessary foul problems. And you are claiming he is not working hard to earn his respect from his BLACK peer? What a stupid conclusion.

Fans like you really do not deserve to watch or follow the sports because you are NOT REASONABLE! Shame on you!

Reading through these posts some people are bashing Yao and blaming him for this loss. Even though he had a bad game i dont know if he is the biggest reason we lost this game. I think just as much blame should be going towards T-mac (i love the guy but i have to say this) as Yao. T-mac has been exposed big time the past few games on the defensive end of the floor (mostly in the post). Today Harpring had his way with him, especially in the 4th quarter. It would be nice if Yao grabbed more than 4 boards but i dont know if we lost the game becasue of him.

Lets hope that they get their intensity, heart, and hustle back by tuesday. We NEED to win the next 2 games because after that the schedule get really tough.

Agreed, in 4th quarter, Matt Happring and Reja Bell just simply dropped every single bomb they launched and we did pretty much nothing about it. I think that's part of how we lost the game.

Jazz fan here. The sky is not falling. It was just the law of averages. Bell and Harpring seldom (almost never) make shots like they did tonight, and the bounces and a few calls went their way. It is a little puzzling that Yao wasn't able to go off against a team that is so center-deprived defensively but, hey, that's life. I wanted the Jazz to lose so they can tank below Golden State. I guess it's a pyhric (sp?) victory. James is going to be good. Wait.

Why do you call him a fan? He's just an attention w**** who hided in his closet during our winning streak and sneaked out to make moronic posts after this bad game. He has waited for this chance for some time.

i hope this game lits a fire under our players asses. what kind of effort was that? just pathetic. no hustle, no running around. bob sura is just gaining more and more respect from me while sitting on the bench. he sets examples (hustle for rebounds..) for other.
he is our true leader as of right now. we will not contend for anything until one of our core players learn to have some leadership skills.

It's always a good day when Utah beats Houston. I know how much Rockets fans can't STAND the Jazz. And especially when they think its going to be an easy W, the victor is especially sweet.

No, this victory sucks hardcore for Utah. They need to compete with GS for the 4th worst record. That might mean Felton or no Felton.

Also, this loss sucks even bigger for Houston. It might be home-court in the first round or no home-court in the first round.

Please stop quoting Charvo when you respond to him. It ruins it for the 10,000 of us who have him on our ignore list. :p

for the 5 or 6 of you that actually still care....

Highlight Clip torrent from Rockets v Jazz game

You need to use a bittorrent client to download..

please leave your client open till you get at least a 1:1 upload/download ratio...this helps your fellow fan get it also...

EDIT: I have already seen one person leech without doing this^^^^^^^...

I can not stress strongly enough the importance of leaving your bittorrent client open and seeding after you receive the file..If I see that you are downloading, and you drop out of the swarm after getting it without leaving your client open to seed...I will ban your IP from ever getting anything from me again...I see your IP when you are downloading from me...and my client allows me to ban quite easily.

Ill have the full game done midafternoon tomorrow..and will start a new thread for both...just thought I would go ahead and get the highlight reel going first..
