I don't know if its cuz of my emotions but it really seems that refs are screwing us the last few games. I counted 3 times the ball went out of bounds, last touch by the Jazz, only to have the ref make the wrong call. Yao gets called for a tickytack foul on Okur for bodying him up when Okur tried to post him up... wtf? Yao and AK fight for possesion of a ball, AK falls to the floor, and Yao gets called for the foul even though he had all ball. Yao gets a great block, only to have them call goaltending even though it was obviously on the way up...
Eighty bucks is definitely too pricy why don't you return it anyways, and get something cheaper online?
Were you even watching the game? Obviously, not very closely! Moochie did nothing wrong. You're just trying to find an excuse to b**** at him. The problem today, clearly, was rebounding. What a worthless effort at getting the boards. I think the Jazz had 50 second chance points. Everytime the ball would touch Yao's fingers, it'd just slip right out. James looked nice. Howard started out good, and it's too bad he didn't keep it up.
something like this was reported in the chronicle "Sura had a different schedule in mind, and wasn't happy with the Rockets' decision to put him on the injured list Thursday, forcing him to miss at least five games. "I'm good. I feel really good," Sura said. "I was a little concerned. I thought it was going to be worse than it is. ... I'm a little unhappy they put me on the injured list. I feel I'll be ready to play before that." http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/3058383 its not that big of a deal..
Why is it not surprising to see Charvo's post right after a bad Yao performance? We can all count on that. I'm also sick and tire of Yao bashing. For once, please be a freaking Rockets fan, and support the team when they're down. It's easy to be a fair weather fan. Charvo is probably not a Rockets fan, he's sole purpose is probably to dish Yao whenever Yao has a bad game. Charvo, like it or not, your stupid trade of Odom, Mimh, Butler is not gonna happen.
I tried, but those all-star jerseys online are $70 + shipping so it's not much help. (You know anywhere I can get it for a good price?) Plus, I got it on Friday so I could have his jersey during the all-star weekend party at one of my friend's place... so I wasn't willing to wait. The price I paid wasn't a very big deal. I just wanted to show my love for our big fella, who often makes me pull my own hair out hehe... love is priceless! =P Go Rockets!
During the 8 game win streak a certain poster spent his time whining and complaining on the ESPN board. The Rockets drop a few games and he comes back with the tired, repetitive comments. He even got an Odom reference in.
Okay, I have to admit that I didn't see the game. I just looked at the box score. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the biggest problem was the fact that Matt Harpring and Raja Bell went off on the Rockets. Neither of these guys are offensive superstars. Who was covering them? I notice everyone seems to be blaming Yao, saying he blew some layups, but he still shot for 50% for the whole game, which isn't exactly terrible. Obviously, rebounding is a problem for Yao and one of the reasons the Rockets lost, but hardly the only reason. He's not the reason Harpring shot 12-17. Obviously, it's premature to judge Mike James based on one game. He shot the ball great, but am I the only one who's a little concerned that he shot the ball 15 times, only had 3 assists and had 4 turnovers? Hopefully, this assist to turnover ratio isn't a sign of things to come. Just some food for thought.
The only negatives of Tivo, been there done that. Sux when it doesn't record when it should or during storms.
CHARVO CAN YOU BE MORE OF A F'KING TROLL??? yao sucks this. yao sucks that. yao cant do anything. yao is the cause of the team losing confidence. yao makes babies cry. yao causes cancer. he had a horrible game. i guess this game defines yao as a player and a good game yao has is nothing but luck in your eyes.
I just bring to light what has plagued this team for a REALLY long time. Noone expects Yao to be a dominant center. He will never be that. That's not his personality. However, when his softness actually interferes with the team's chances of winning, that is when Yao is at his worst and when his teammates no longer trust him with the ball. When Yao's teammates give him the ball, and he just lollygags it up there without any effort or focus, how can they be expected to trust him again? That is why everyone seems to b**** about Sura not giving Yao the ball. Sura doesn't give a crap about Yao. If he doesn't see the dominant Yao but sees the passive Yao, he'll just keep the ball. Sura is old, and he's got a 4 year contract. You think he wants to lose games with Yao fumbling the ball away and missing layups when he should be dunking it? Yao didn't exactly make a good first impression on Mike James too. The look on Mike's face when Yao let a pass of his slip through his hands was one of disgust. Damn...even Van Chancellor was criticizing Yao. Worrell didn't want to because he values his job, but Van is pretty straight forward.
you cant find a size Large jersey at finish line in HOuston because HOUSTON is Americas FATTEST City....hahahahah NYC 4 LIFEEEEEE
I thought that pass from mike james is a TO counted to james instead of Yao. That ball is too high to catch even for Yao.
Bring the light to what has plagued this team? Where the hell were you when the team is winning? And for idiots like you who is calling Yao is soft, in case you haven't heard what Jeff Van Gundy and Stan Van Gundy said in the paper, go back and read it! Player have bad games, Shaq had 3 games last month where he had 5 rebounds or less, did you hear Miami jumped off his bandwagon? I have no problem with people criticize Yao when he had a bad game, as long as they acknowledge him when he is doing good. But for a-holes like you who's sole purpose of following the Rockets is to bashing the guy, my advice for you is STFU!
Charvo, Yao is a product of his own body. He's big and not very mobile. We know! That's why most of us have lobbied for more athletic PFs that can rebound. But Yao's progress will be slow but sure. In 4 years he'll will be much more polished than he is now. Centers take a while to mature. Quick, small PG and SG can use their speed to gain some success. Yao has to learn technique. This takes time. He's not going to be the *most* dominant. But he will be a force and he is needed if we want to win a title. EDIT: Why did Akeem make an immidate impact? Because he was sooooo damn fast, quick, springy, powerful....he really didn't have to depend on techquie as much as Yao does. But Yao can just grow Akeem legs and arms. He has to overcome his deficiencies in other ways.
