Funny how last season, most of you were saying if Juwan played against the Mavs series and we would have won the series as Juwan was GOD!

Now, most people here blamed Juwan for playin poorly. Come on, no NBA player can hit 100% of his shots! Juwan is a pro, give him some break, remembered how he stuffed the ball in Mike James to defend T-mac?? He cares, too bad he just a not good enuogh player to really help the team!

Dont include me in that group. I have always maintained that had Juwan played in the Mavs series, it would have been a shorter series for Rockets because Dirk would have exploited the matchup against Juwan. Dirk would have raped Juwan all day on national TV in front of all the women and children with out any guilt. Juwan would have been a huge liability on the defensive end.

Also for the record, I never said he is a bad person. He is/might be a great person. But that does not help the Rockets on the court. Hell, even if you brought in Mahatma Gandhi to play for the Rockets I would still b**** about it. This is basketball, not charity ball. Ironically enough, the position that Juwan plays is the one we need the most toughness out of.

BTW, I doubt anyone in the league fears Juwan even if he goes crazy. He is too much of a pansy to actually do anything to anyone. When he is trying to act tough, it is exactly that, an act. Same like Shawn Bradley and Keith Van Horn. They just look like clowns when they are trying to be tough. If Juwan had balls, he would actually finish strong once in a while around the basket without getting blocked 90% of the time.

I don't think he would have mattered against Dallas.. wasn't Juwan the one guarding Dirk when he went off for 51pts against us last year?

I agree completely. The whole key to that series being as close as it was, was TMac being on Dirk and getting in his head. That's what caused Dirk to have such a bad series and miss shot after shot after shot. Dirk would have ate us up from 3 land had Juwon been shuffling around out there. And I think Juwon was actually better last year defensively than he is this year. I think he has gotten slower this year.

I disagree completely. To this day I firmly believe that if Juwan played then we would've won that series. I mean honestly we were rotating between Bowen/Padgett and Tmac towards the end of the series on Dirk. What we missed most in that series was Juwans offense and ability to spread the floor in addition to his passing and rebounding. Dirk was horrible all series long whether it was Bowen/Padgett/ or Tmac guarding him later on in the series. Dirk averaged 20 something or so but his FG% was TERRIBLE. Dirk was off the whole series and I highly doubt Juwan would some how allow Dirk to go off because Dirk literally sucked hard in the series and continued his struggles against Phoenix.

Watching Dirk leave Bowen WIDE open from 15 ft and Bowen not being able to drop the jumper was just painful to watch. Between Padgett and Bowen in that series we averaged 3.5 points and 6 boards per game from the 4 spot. That is ridiculous. Had Juwan played you could've expected 10-12 points with 6 boards along with the other tangibles he provides as an actual power forward. To me personallly, I think that would've been enough to take care of the Mavs in 5. Definitley in 6. The first 2 games we won with T-mac running the tables late in the game. Games 3/4 he gets fatigued towards the end cause he's expending energy to guard Dirk. Thus he couldn't close out and also made some careless mistakes. Bottom line is.... as poor as JHO is playing thus far this season he only would've helped us against the Mavs.

Does anyone think JVG just said "f'it" and let the guys play this last game? Kinda like he did last year before they started winning all those games. Maybe that ball that hit him in the face woke him up. haha I mean seriously.. The Rockets had 15 fast break points.. and scored over a 100 pts AT HOME! that's unheard of. :)
