Well, he will get to play that role of a solid backup combo guard once we figure out who/how we will acquire as a SG for next season.

The biggest problem he's been having is too many minutes (for his age) and being put into situations where he's overmatched. I agree with you.

Well thats why it's so dissapointing to see what a Failure the DA situation has turnedout to be. he was the Player who was bought here to help relieve some of the heavy burden off Wesely.

True. Wes has done everything asked of him. Gotta respect him for that. He's a real pro. Some of the other Rockets could take lessons.

LOL, no rebound for Collins. He was totally destroyed by Yao tonight.

Yep. kind of ironic earlier in the season his shot had completely deserted him, but now he is our best and most consistent long range shooter.as i said earlier, once we get some help for him, he'll be better off for it. barry and sura and bogans should gradually help relive some of the pressure off him.

I couldn't watch the game. How did Bogans play? His box score didn't make my jaw drop :p but i'm sure he did good to merit 10 minutes of playing time?

I'm guessing the hustle was there, the attitude was there, and the fire was there this game.

We should beat every team that's not in the playoffs by this much (14) and high seeds (5-8) by 8-ish...we need to dominate our oppenents.

We need more scoring like tonight, tmac dropped 25 and yao dropped 27, we need more of those 2 in high scoring numbers.

speaking of tmac, he didn't shoot relatively well, only 40.9%, but compared to what he's been shooting lately, i'm saying he bumped the slump? plus he got 3 stls and a block.

I hope this fired us up a little, we need to rip new york to shreds tomorrow. tomorrow will be the real test for this team...how hard (if we even can) can we beat up on the knicks...

we'll be playing a back-to-back...ON OUR HOME COURT!?

    dun-dun-dunnnnn

why do we need a sg next season?

    06-07 roster IMO:

PG:alston/sura/- if he comes back healthy/head-we keep workin' on his point skills

    SG: wesley-veteran leadership/bogans-perimeter defense, shooting ablility?/head

    SF: McGrady/new face

    PF: Hayes/new face

    C: Yao/Deke (is he staying?)/new face

don't get me wrong, i appreciate what deke, howard, and bowen (when he doesn't shoot from range) do for the rockets, but I think fresh legs would be best.

i'm just saying we should look to improve our frountcourt's bench before our backcourt (which i like).

does anyone want to keep bowen for defense off the bench for mcgrady? i wouldn't mind, as long as that's his ONLY role.

^ Because Wesley is NOT a championship starting calibur SG. He is too short.

I thought the game was really enjoyable. It seems like the team is finally starting to come together, as Hayes is finding where he fits in, Alston has been exactly what we wanted the last 5 games or so, and Bogans looks like he will fit in nicely as well.

It was great to see Yao going strong to the basket, and the more these guys get comfortable with a stead and mostly consistent line-up they should keep getting better.

I agree that David Wesley should be kept for the next season. The guy plays hard night in and night out. He will be perfect for 20 minutes a game. Same for Juwon. I do not understand why so many here hate JHo. The guy has been forced to play heavy minutes and played his heart out. He showed he cares when Yao and Tracy were out. A lot of night his shots from perimeter were money to the team. I agree that Swift should start and Juwon should come out of bench, but we all recognize what a sorry ass Swift is. Will you start someone who does not care? The offseason signing of DA and SS partly screwed up this season. JHo is not the one to be blamed. Haters, do you really think Hayes is going to help the team more without perimeter shooting? When he bricks like Ryan did, you will know that's not going to work. Jowon certainly is not the perfect PF for this team, but he is the best that the team have, period.

At the age of middle 30s, both guys should come out of bench. It is absolutely not their fault that they are still starting. They always have my highest respect among the current rockets roster.

No, he does not. Maybe Swift or Norris owe you money, but Jowon does not. A lot of guys in this league play just like 15 minutes a game and earn more than Jowon does. Swift was expected to start but he showed that he does not care for the organization nor himself. Jowon was forced to play heavy minutes and he does what he could. Calm down and be fair, buddy!

Yeah maybe others do but they produce 20 times more than what Juwan gives the entire game. "does what he could"? ...which would be what? You pick one from the following:

    Turnovers
    Blown layups
    Blown defensive assignments
    Bad passes
    Blown rebounds
Lately blown 18 footers which was the only thing he COULD do.

So you be fair and explain to us what is it that he can actually do?? Because most of us here certainly cant seem to figure it out.

PS. I am assuming you are talking about Juwan. I am not aware of any Jowon on our team.
