The difference is Harden is one of the greatest players of all time, Christian Wood is a literal career scrub who showed flashes for bits of 2 seasons then played like a starter for half a season with us. When he's been a solidified starter he can get upset, right now he needs to prove himself as much as everybody else does.
On a lighter note I just wanted to remind everyone that Julius Randle who is currently leading the Knicks to a 4 - 1 record averaged 2 points his rookie year. He started 60 games the following year averaged 11 ppg on 27% from 3. It took him 3 years to score at the rate that Jalen is now. By his fourth year he was averaging 21 ppg and last year he averaged 25 ppg on 41% from 3. I think Jalen will be at that level in about 3 years and the way this team is playing now we are gonna have another top 3 pick god willing and we'll get another future star to pair with Jalen and Sengun. Trust the process. It looks ugly now but it'll be worth it in the end.
Prediction days are over. Green scored one less (13) and the poster dunk was with Whiteside coming over.
Also has to be said that our vets are not living up to their careers at all. You expect the rookies to be ****, they're brand new. You can excuse KJ and Brooks, they've got so little play time they might as well be rooks too. KP gets a pass because he's having to switch to the hardest position in the game. Theis should know better, Augustin should know better, Tate started 58 games last year and showed he was starter level already, and now he's bricking threes over and over like he hasn't played before and doesn't know he aint **** from deep. The vets are supposed to be the stability on the roster, our rookies play better than everybody who isn't EG.
that offensive rating is atrocious, but so is the Rockets offensive personnel the trust the process Sixers were ranked dead last offensively each year of their tank job…the Rockets are on the level of the those Sixers team and that Bobcats team that won like 7 games during the lockout year
I didn't catch the game so I didn't see how bad it was.....score is still pretty bad though. I know we all like to Fuzz on the j*zz but you have to remember they had the best record in the league last year and were trying to contend right as we peaked with Harden. They are a good team. We only semi- started a rebuild. Harden was the first piece but once all our veterans are gone we can truly see what we have. In the mean time lets rack up them L's for them draft picks.
He will but not in a destructive way. He’s always been good about turning negative energy into inspiration and productivity
I've got good news and bad news Good News: Only 11 turnovers Bad News: Porter only played a few minutes. But that's how he gets better. Learning from his mistakes.
The point here is "learning from his mistakes". This is his 2nd year. If the expectation is that one day he will be a superstar or even an all-star, then I do not know any other superstar that struggled this badly in their 2nd year. He just seems to be missing the motivation to win/lead, team ball IQ seems low and most of the time looks like he is playing streetball rather than in a professional league. And such passion, motivation, and urgency to win cannot be taught. I have my doubts about KPJ but I hope I am wrong.
Really doesn't need to be 0/8 from 3. Those aren't good shots. I'd rather see him drive and get blocked
I'm hoping that now he's actually gone in and flown into elite level rim protection he'll be less hesitant and more willing to drive. ****, I bet it's scary as **** being a 19 yr old kid who's probably taller than 90% of the people he meets to then be faced with a legit 7ft grown ass man who you've seen block legit superstars on TV. He showed as the game went on though that he can be that aggressive, it just needs to be more consistent. He needs to take the lumps, because that's where he should be eating right now. Leave the 3's for wide open shots, if you come off the screen, don't wait 2 seconds for the defender to catch up then take a step back, go straight at the rim and power it in. You're more likely to get a foul call even if you miss if you've gone in fast and aggressive than slow and steady, this Harden type **** he does of slowing right down in the lane is killing him, he aint strong enough for those games yet.
