There was one Tari free throw in the first half where you could tell he was sucking air in a big way. I was thinking, "get that man to the bench and put an oxygen tank on him."
I doubt loud arenas is one of the biggest factors of keeping players around. Show them the money (especially the supermax) and give them a chance to win and they will stick around in the long run. Eventually, they all get fed up if they don't win a championship, so the risk to lose them will always be there. Look at Harden, he was perfectly happy in Houston despite the shitty practice facilities and the lack of support from the City. The location of TC is not really that big of an issue. The problem is that a lot of people that want to go to the games live far out in the suburbs so making the drive sucks. Even if you leave work early, it's a pain in the ass to get to that area, and since most people probably want to get dressed before the game, they probably drive home then make the drive to TC. I rather just watch the games on TV (and I live pretty damn close to TC).
We were competitive with 3 “contenders” and beat a team that was 3-0 That focus this season should be stay competitive with good teams and win the winnable games The stat line of KPJ, Green, and Jabari is what this team is going to need to win games. Nobody else on the squad can score. KPJ gotta work on the playmaking over the season but the kid needs to score
The city at large was pretty supportive of Harden. The vocal minority on clutchfans that complained about Harden and the Toyota center don't seem to actually go to games.
What I meant by lack of support was regarding attendance at games. I been to several Rockets games over the years and if it wasn't the playoffs, the place was pretty quiet and semi empty.
Not to compare the two, we are lucky to have landed another top pick who seems to be worth his spot, but Paolo has been getting a lot of attention for being the first player since lebron to score 20+ in his first 4 games, I think scoring 17+ and having ball dominant guys like KPJ and JG getting a ton of shots on your team, and still being able to do this is impressive.
Coaching needs to exist. Coach knows their players and should maximize the overall talent Props to Jabari... Props to KBJ and Green. Sengun Proper coach makes everything mesh Nobody complains about having too much talent.... everybody complains lack of talent
I think Tari Eason and Tyty can playmake but Silas doesn't notice. Even Alperen makes great passes KPJ gets jealous it seems like. Alperen is a superior passer and better reader on offensive cuts and pass for layups or open 3 pointers.
