He has been pretty damn terrible for a good stretch of games now. End of last year he attacked fast and if he couldnt get anywhere he'd pass it to someone else. Nowadays he's just isoing for 15 seconds going nowhere. This Silas offense is killing these young players in real time. Both guards clearly can't handle his style of offense and overthink everything.
Coaching is a big part of the issue, but our guards also have to realize that they don’t need to iso all the important plays. Jalen and KPJ literally both took some terrible shots (at least KPJ was efficient) but their best plays came in the flow of the offense when everyone was involved—with a bit of one-on-one play sprinkled in when the situation and matchup was right. This is also a part of the growth process, but we need our coaching staff to figure something out because the offense is u g l y
Wow! Another game where our PG has fewer assists than our Center. But some idiots don't seem to get it. Another game with our PG getting a -22. But some still insist...
Two young guards trying to find their way in the league and run a offense will ALWAYS be a problem for any team. I think the KPJ as starting PG will come to an end after trade deadline or definitely this summer when we draft and/or trade for another PG that knows how to run a team. Let him move to backup SG and come in as 6th man and just look to score. That role would fit him well. Bottom line is we are just a VERY young team and they just don’t know the NBA game yet. They all have things to improve on this summer.
