I think steve is allowed to award himself some times special when hes wide open himself. and the reason wilks and francis will work because its a change of pace kind of like a kenny smith and a sam cassel.two diffrent styles ,but both can hurt you in diffrent ways.so it gives your offens a wholde diffrent look. francis and moochie were too similar.
I probably would agree with you on any other night, but its been a while since SF has had a good shooting night. 7-12!! He should have shot some more just to get his shot back. His shooting % has been horrible this year, hopefully this game will put him over the hump and his shot will be back. We've seen what he's capable of doing, I can't wait until he learns how to mix up his offensive capability with his team game.
I think SF mainly took shots within the flow of the offense. This makes a big difference in terms of being a "good" shot or a "forced" shot.. this part is always open to debate. IMO I think SF took mainly good shots resulting in a high FG% and he helped set the pace early getting everyone involved. If SF can keep playing like this we will definately go far. Yao was dominating early 2 blks 7 rebs 16 pts if he didnt get so many suspect calls he would have been more of a force this game. I wonder if its all the ticky tack calls that affect his aggresiveness? Cato had an all around great game.. a monster on the defensive end and on the boards. I dont know what got into Cato this game but I would say he was the player of the game. Anyone know who was the crabshack player of the game? JJ is so inconsistent with his shot, at least he didnt force up as many shots tonight. I think the Rox are instituting a new game plan and offensive scheme.. (Pass the Ball to Open teammates. Shoot the ball if Open) Great Plan! HAHAHAHA =) Like I said earlier in this thread I love the Rox defense this year.. If we can figure out a way to sustain a decent offense we will be a contender! Whos With ME! hehe Go Yao! Go Rox! Go Super Duper Backup Bench Brigade! ummmm... anyone like my nickname for the bench? J
Play of the game: SF dribbles for 22 sec, jack up a 3 pointer and NAIL it! You get mad, you yell, than you clap Great shooting: SF 7-12, Mo 7-12, Yao 8-12. BTW, do you realize that the Rockets had 17 FT attempts but Yao didn't have a single attempt? It's a shocker when you compare that to the first two games between these clubs - Yao had 16 attempts in the 1st game and 10 attempts in the 2nd game. room4rentsf, did you abandon the other place?
I think that's true. The Jazz had trouble adjusting to the two different point guards. Whereas, Norris and Francis were similar point guards.
