Cato may get a DD tonight! alright im happy for him. but about the Refs who can we complain too? One thing I cant stand about the NBA is how stars get preferential treatment. What other sport has anything like that? A foul is a foul no matter who commits it.

Wilks is going to make Steve a better player. The reason I say this is that Moochie was such a horrid point guard for the Rockets that Steve could basically ignore Van Gundy's orders on the court without that much retribution. The same thing goes for any player in any team sport who has a good backup playing behind him. Competition makes for better play from everyone. Steve will be forced to be more of a team player or else Wilks gets more playing time.

Francis plays much more effective in the 4th quarter even though it does not show on his stat sheet. He takes only two shots and made one of them. Neither assist nor turnoever, but everybody else scores, being benefited from his passes. That is the real point guard we have been looking from Francis for a long long time. :)

Nice win, but I was wondering should JVG keep Yao in the game if he picks up his 5th foul in the 4th? Because everytime he picks up his 5th foul in the 4th, JVG doesn't put him back in the game anyways, so if he fouls out, so be it.

LOL Jazz only scored 7pts in the 4Q is that some kind of record? hmmm.. Utah has been averaging 92pts a game I hope this boosts our defense opp ppg/ and opp fg% stats.

Glad to see this game wasnt a nail biter... If Yao could have stayed out of foul trouble it looked like he was on the verge of breaking out. Anyone notice that Yao seemed kind of mad this game?

Cannot believe that we play great after getting rid of Moochie.

The big men are playing great. Steve is excellent.

All I wish that JVG stops asking Yao to elbow opponents in the public. That strategy obviously backfired tonight.

Xeno I think he keeps Yao on the Bench with 5 fouls just in case he needs to put him back in. In case the game is still close or we go into OT.

It's always good to beat the Jazz.

Didn't actually see the game, but it looks like Cato had a huge game. 11/15/4. Not too bad. Nice to see Stevie shoot better than 50%.

    Good job Rockets

Im glad to see this win, and i also would like to give props to steve for being a great point guard. Does anybody else notice that everytime we play the jazz Bill Worrell always brings up Ostertag's fourth quarter in the 97 playoff when the jazz beat us??

I never really thought you could have a game where you dominate and score in the low 80s, but the Rockets did it tonight. Cato was the man. Grabbing boards with authority, hitting his FTs, and intimidating with blocks in the paint. Francis and Wilks both played well. I think the Rockets actually extended their lead again with Wilks coming off the bench and Francis checking out. But Francis played well distributing the ball well. I don't like it when he shoots fadeaway jumpers with a defender on him though. Maybe if it was a taller guard like T-Mac or Kobe shooting it, I wouldn't mind, but Francis is too small to take such difficult shots. Yao was doing well and actually sealed his defender on numerous occasions and took good shots. His fadeaway shot was good, until Ostertag starting pushing him out as he shot. The big thing about the Rockets tonight is they dominated inside offensively and defensively. Yao, Cato, and MoT were all scoring inside and clogging up the paint defensively. It really set the tempo for the game and allowed us to dictate the game. No easy shots were taken by the Jazz.
