we could very well lose this game. i just hope the suns are resting nash when we play them. utah has a better shot of beating the suns than us and they should beat the blazers. that means they'll be 2-0 before they play us, so we have to be at least 1-1 to make the final game mean something. i cant see us beating the suns so we need this game !

Teams that have only pride to play for are always dangerous. Remember when we'd mess up teams' playoff position back in the Francis years when we weren't in contention?

NOK got knocked out of the race for eighth last night. This is going to be a very tough game.

Please, Rockets...do not underestimate this team.

    Rox take it 99-92!
    T-Mac 31
    Yao 28

Just a suggestion could we maybe get an official Jazz playoff thread on here a little early?

If we win, and Phoenix beats Utah, we will be on pace to clinch before the game with Utah. (we would be just 1 phoenix victory away)

If San Antonio loses tomorrow and phoenix wins today Phoenix will clinch the 2 seed and they can rest against us (while they will play hard tonight against Utah)

San Antonio holds the tiebreaker with the Suns. In order for Suns to clinch the 2nd seed before suns/rox match, Mavs have to beat the Spurs, which of course is possible if the Mavs go all out.

Marc Jackson is guarding Yao. We should win.

link Injury Update: G Bob Sura (knee/back) is out for the Rockets; C Tyson Chandler (toe), G Peja Stojakovic (back) and F Desmond Mason (fractured cheek bone and nose) are out for the Hornets.

Marc Jackson's back-up is Hilton Armstrong. Yao needs to go off. I hope the Hornets don't front him.

NOK is 2 games behind the Clippers and Golden State with 3 games to go, so they still have a small chance. Which makes today's game tougher. But also a nice vengeance, because if the Rockets win I think they are eliminated.

Chronicle noted our record is 1-8 against NOK, Phoenix and Utah. Three tough games ahead... And three wins! (playing the subs against the Jazz)

I hope that the Hornets DO front him because Yao needs to learn how to be dominant With the Defenders fronting him... Yao will be seein the fronting defense on him throughout the playoffs. and if he dosent then the other team is stupid and we will win the nba championship

If you can dig out the game between Rox and Spurs, which we won big at their homecourt. The first quarter, Yao dominated the paint. Spurs DID front him a lot. But he got couple really good entry passes and put them in. And during his career he has been fronted all the time. THe guards had to make a pass to him if he is on single coverage or shoot the damn ball with a higher percentation when he was doubled.
