Wow. Can people STFU about Yao's rebounding numbers already. Me and another poster already explained that this was a high FG%, low rebounding game. Apparently people here only understand concrete stats but nothign else.

No matter how you slice it, a 2 rebounds game is bad, very bad.

Yea, most of the people making that comment probably didn't watch the game, and simply posted comments after reading box scores.

If we can win, I will be glad to see Yao's 30pts and 2rebs.

Cool :D . the guy dissapears when juwan is on a tear, bt reappears when juwan is back on the bench. be man enough to be a critic 24-7 and not when it's going well for you're cause.

Wow... Yao and Chuck COMBINE for 8 rebounds. How often does that happen? Hayes only played 20 minutes. Must've been in foul trouble again.

Here goes Yao's rebounding and also both teams shoot high percentage. With that said, 2 rebounds are still very low. Although he let Tracy grap one from him towards the end with his hands in the air when he saw Tracy was coming.

LA game went into overtime. Factor out overtime, and Yao was only having an "average" rebounding game by Yao's historical standards in 4 quarters.

Man, he was getting 15+ rebounds on his hot streak before his injury ...

Glad we played well at the end when it really mattered. Our pick and roll defense was terrible, but we made the shots when we had to and TMac looked great in the 4th.

As far as Yao's 2 boards, you also need to realize that Yao is not quick off the floor when he jumps...which is why he isn't dominant on jump balls or boards. Even if you are taller, if guys can get off the ground more quickly than you can, they have a better chance at getting the board.

Also, they were keeping Marc Jackson at the top of the key, and Yao had to run to defend him or he was doubling Paul on the pick and roll. He spent a lot of time on defense out of the paint. No big deal

Yeah!! You and "the other poster" already set them straight! How dare they have dissenting opinions?

As i said people need to layoff our big lion. he had 30 points and some of those at a very critical stage in the 3rd when the hornets were making there run.yao cant do no right in some peoples eyes.

Dude, I was there live at the Sonics game, a few rows from the floor. For some reason, I didn't see the same intensity from Yao boxing out other opponents in preparation for the rebound. Perhaps it is a stamina thing ... he wants to conserve his stamina for the offense ... that's my best guess

Yeah, I guess Yao shoulda box out T-mac or rafer for stealing his rebound.

Meh, a win is a win. It's not like 2 rebound games are common for Yao.

I can't believe Yao only had 2 rebounds  . Still a good win though. Everyone played well today. Defense was nonexistent, but you can't expect to shoot 58% and defend well. It's usually one or the other.
