His rebounding hasn't picked up post injury. He is not dominating the rebound aspect like he was before his injury.

It's worrisome because if we want to go deep in the playoffs, Yao needs to regain his rebound form prior to his injury.

I think this might be the reason for Yao's 2 rebound:

-both team shoot a high %
-Yao let his teammate steal the rebound from him

So you're named Barkley and you think height is related to rebounding prowess?

Yes, it does. In that post I was only trying to point out that being the tallest on the court doesnt make you the best rebounder. In a earlier post in this same thread, I said both Rafer and Yao sucked at PnR.

today, both team shot pretty good so total rebs number dropped and yao need go out to D their center and box his man out, So his reb is not that good. our total rebs 30 and it gives to 9 players.

A great win, but rox's defense on pick and roll was really terrible.
Yao was dragged out of the paint to defend the jumpers, it's not efficient.

Uh, Yao was averaging something like 12 Rbs per game in that LA-Utah stretch.

You don't understand it because you are a moron.

If you happen to know Shawn bradley, he is 229cm and in his best season he averaged 8 rbs per game.

I do admint Yao is not So good at rebounding. But he does grab 9.2 rbs per game this season.

It doesn't matter to be a moron. It is becoming wrong to show off your peanut-size brain in public.

The Hornets don't depend on breakaways and fast breaks for easy baskets. However, they do pick and roll you to death like Phoenix does in the half-court. The Hornet's shooters aren't that great but tonight they were for while. Still, we gave up too many close in baskets because of their schemes and our slowness. Giving up 100+ points is OK when you win, but allowing 54% shooting is not.

I'm glad Devin Brown turned back into Devin Brown and only hit 1 of his last 9 shots.

again i don't question yao's effort b/c he's a very hard-worker. we just need to find ways to protect yao (so JVG, now do ur defensive coaching). yao defends very well if he guards a big man straight up in the post. outside of that, he's a very bad defender.
