ClutchFans Game Thread: Hornets @ Rockets 3/8/2008

Man it will hurt to not have Landry in the line up. He provides such a spark off the bench, it will be interesting tonight to see what happens. But this team just keeps amazing me so im remaining optomistic.

 

lol! of course he'll be active. the Rockets only have 12 healthy bodies.

 

The good thing about this game, is that even if it is a loss, which I doubt, there are three cupcakes immediatly following...yes, easy games do not =wins, but they sure as hell are better then hard games like this one.

 

i imagine novak will get some decent minutes while landry is injured... its gonna he tough

 

We will win them all...our real next test will be against the lakers...

we'll miss landry tonight but i think we can plug any player in to this offense...

 

For Christ Sake Chuck hayes please make your freakin layups.............

 

i don't know why he cannot dunk. he's 6'6. he's strong. he is fairly athletic. why can't he just freakin' try to dunk every damn time instead of just trying to lay it up.

 

The key is Paul and Peja, we stop their best facilitator and perimeter shooter then we will beat them. Landry is a big loss since he has been playing so well attacking the basket. The onus is on Chuck to pick the slack. Maybe T-mac will go on a scoring binge and drop 50 on the Big Easy.

He can dunk on transition but he's not athletic or tall enough to do a standing dunk. Mike Harris on the other hand...

 

IMO it's not even Peja we really need to stop. If we just stop Chris Paul alone, the only reason Peja gets open threes, Chandler getting his alley-oop dunks, etc., we win.

I'd much prefer individual 30 point performances from Peja (or West) with little help from teammates, than Chris Paul getting 15 assists with a balanced offensive attack from all five guys on the court.

 

WTFACK is going on??? Landry out? Green released? This is not good!!!! I'm really worried about Landry....Man....Man....WTF Man. Why is my team cursed!!!!! OMG I am so pissed right now.

 

This is a must-win. Every team we play will be after us trying to end our winning streak. I hope the rockets come out with fire. Hornets fan's think they will end our streak tonight.

Do you know how long I have been waiting for T-mac to drop 50? he's settled into his role now, I doubt we see 50 from him for a long time. Someone has to step up big tonight. I hope it's T-Mac, but I really do not care who it is.



Please god, let us win. I wouldn't be able to stomach the run that CP3 will get on every sports media outlet, and watch our very small dose of national media coverage vanish faster than Justin Guarini.

 

Don't worry. Mike James/Bonzi will start for them and shoot them right out of the game.

You guys have it all wrong. In the long run the only way you'll get exposure in the media is if you win.

I wouldn't want exposure just for the sake of exposure. The lower the expectations are for the Rockets, the better they are likely to do.

Winning breeds exposure, but exposure doesn't breed winning. You have to make up your mind if you want to win or if you want 15 minutes in the spotlight.

 

You didnt see Hayes varieties of offensive moves in last game?
