You guys have to remember that the reason why Tmac had to play all 48 minutes was because Rafer was in foul trouble.. had he not been in that situation, i bet tmac wouldve started the 2nd and 4th quarter on the bench. I dont think Rick would play tmac 48 minutes in the remaining games so dont worry :)

Somebody actually said rockets lost because west and bonzi wasn't there?? This is just r****ded. The hornet fans should be ashamed of themselves. David west is in no way their most important player and bonzi wells..... hasn't even played for the hornets yet......

If people here think that it was a non quality win, KNOW that we did it without our most important contributor yao ming and carl landry. WE HAD to make major adjustments, more than hornets will ever have to.

Bumble bees suck, they suck so much that their new slogan should probably be
Hornets: "ITS TIME to suck, we lose because gravity altered our shot angles."

Stupidass fans in this world. If the hornets can go anywhere without paul, Ill eat my words and jump off the building. We're going somewhere without our most important player, and people here keep forgetting that.

Well said. Remember last year, without Paul, the Hornets were a lottery team. It's the same this year. You'd better hope teams don't start putting the Iverson treatment on him and knocking him around.

Maybe they are afraid he'll try to smack the package if they do...

It doesn't matter if they say we lost. They were wrong. We won. They can say we have 18 game losing streak, but it doesn't make the wins not count.

there's a diff between stacked and balanced...stacked to me means stars, balanced means a collection of solid players/role players thus a real team........the Lakers that the piston beat for their first title was stacked....piston were and are still balanced.

This game is a perfect illustration of how a basketball game can reward loyal fans and get people pumped up emotionally.
So I've got to get onto this thread... :D

Warriors fans are great, saying that the Rockets haven't beaten anyone during our streak and that the games against teams like Dallas could have "gone either either way". Yeah, they could have made 12 point shots, the Rockets are lucky they didn't connect on them. They're also calling the Rockets a "bye" into the next round. I guess Golden State's magical run last year has them thinking they're elite. They're begging to play the Rockets in the first round. Be careful what you wishful, it could get you sent home early.

Right now it may appear that Yao's absence hasn't been a problem for the Rockets, that's because their outside jumpers are falling. However, when we play good defensive teams like San Antonio or Detroit, there WILL be stretches when those jumpers become ice cold, and that's when Yao's low post scoring will be missed the dearest.

that's why our points in the paint have been around 45-50 pts during this streak without yao.

it's not like 80% of our points are on jumpers now. it looked like it last night b/c landry wasn't there to do the pick and rolls. scola just had a bad game.

scola/landry can provide the inside presence we need just enough to compensate for yao.
