It wasn't a record for one team but was it a record for both teams in a quarter?

I'm trying to look it up.

I can't watch the game as I'm working. Can somebody tell me why Tmac played all 48 min when the score difference is double-digit?

The knee jerk reaction crowd will always be around and vocal. I wish they'd learn their lesson from things like this, but they won't. I'm glad Rick Addleman wasn't fired, Rafer wasn't traded or cut, T-mac wasn't traded, Shane Batier wasn't traded, Luther Head wasn't traded, and whoever else.

People just go crazy with knee jerk reactions. It's annoying but oh well.

I am sure there is something to be said for the +- stat. Aside from the Paul numbers. It was pretty indicative of the Rockets side of who played well and who didnt. Scola and Bobby Jackson had negative +- and for the most part, they struggled tonight.

    Holy scmiteszers

I just realized Tmac played all 48 minutes

Should this be a concern? Their next game is on Monday vs the Nets, but still, you have to worry about Tmac's health in long stretches

Rafer scoring 20 points or more is automatically a win for rockets.

It was a well contested game throughout. The Rockets led by as much as 17 but NO kept hanging in there. There never was a time when it seemed over, until about 45 seconds left.

they were trading baskets all night long... besides a 14-0 run the Rockets put up in the second quarter, the Hornets (Chris Paul) kept up with Houston and kept cutting into the lead. it would dip below 10 points frequently.

in fact, the first two quarters were a shooting contest. there were so many ties and lead changes, it was raining threes from both ends.

Houston had the poise to pull away with it, led by T-Mac, who was needed every minute he was out there...

The +/- makes a lot of sense in hockey where players play on set lines, but it can help when you look at the total +/- of certain player combinations

Can you tell me how many minutes he should play so that we can win by just 1 point?

No we will whip the lakers' butt and make it 22.

He has the potential to be, but he is far from "officially" better. We can start talking after he's won one MVP, then debating after he has won back-to-back.

    But great game for him!

The flaw of +/-, it's used to indicate the effectiveness of an individual player's performance, but it's based on other player's performance.

This is bull*****. The rockets are not on top of the msn sports articles. Last time I saw, boston were top when they notched playoff berth, so what?? Teams do that every year. How many teams do you see every year who can win 18 in a row??

Im tired of this, msn better put the rockets streak on top of the sports section, cause phoenix and dallas had theirs on top when they were just winning SIXTEEN.

The rockets are so underrated, the only site that doesn't underrate them is the nba, but If I see one word that makes west seem like he is the key contributor, I will go nuts!

I don't think so. If Landry was in game tonight, rockets could win it by a big lead.Tmac played great in full 48 min tonight, full 48 min! how can you expect him does this in every game? and that's why rockets signed Mike Harris, I like Harris and let's see if he can give us a good performance. Get better soon Landry,we miss your passion and these amazing dunks. Get better soon Yao, we need you to beat these big guys just like Chandler.

    Keep on going, Rockets!
