ClutchFans Game Thread: Hornets @ Rockets 3/24/2021

I see him pass up Wood down low with mismatches or open shooters in the corners. Then you hear comments from Wood that he needs the ball more, or comments from other players that they aren’t moving the ball or playing together. It’s really clicked fir me this year why a guy like John Wall hasn’t been much of a winner despite being so talented. He plays fir himself and he’s not the kind of veteran point guard you want running a rebuilding team. I’m not blaming him fir everything and certainly he knows how to pass the ball but he’s just not that great at getting his team involved, and that’s critical for a young team like this that needs to build confidence. Really hope he gets moved this offseason.

 

Have a little faith, give it to Wood and let him work. In the post interview, Wall talks about reads and mismatches. I'm questioning how good are his reads. Maybe replace them sunglasses with reading glasses.

I hate Wall's game man. DJ Augustin looking like a better PG out there to me.

but I guess people think 360 layup's are worth being a blackhole on offense.

 

Stephen Silas letting John Wall Yelling in the Huddle. Is not the way you run the Team.

Especially when John Wall is repeatedly not passing the ball to Christian Wood.

I just want Kevin Porter Jr. Starting with DJ Augustine as a backup.

DJ seems more like a Leader, more than John Wall.

Younger players look more happier and more energetic with DJ running the Point.

 

Random is random.

 

Porter seems like a really level headed guy. Played the whole season in G league but didn’t complain. Cheered his team hard when he’s not playing. I am very surprised by his maturity and he doesn’t seem to be as emotionally volatile as advertised.

benching john wall would feel a greater victory to me than winning the championship at this point

 

We better make that a reality. The Orlando Magic have committed to the tank and are going to pass us up on the loss column if we start getting cute about attempting to build a winning culture after this trade deadline.

 

I find folks who don't watch the games to be really annoying. worse than LOFs and Harden nuthuggers. there I said it

Yeah man i'm starting to see him for what he is. I recall the Wizards players not being happy playing with him when he first came back after his knee injury before he had the achilles injury. They had been playing well and having fun until he came back. He seemed to put a damper on the whole team. It appears he is starting to do that here. Luckily we would only have to deal with it for maybe another season before he becomes a big expiring contract that we can move.

I hope we can get some strong young players that could overcome him and play well despite him.
