Lin may not be the best guy to lead the break but he is great at rebounding the ball and making the full court pass.

I'm really impressed with his improvement on defense. Once he gets his knee better and his mojo on offense back he is gonna be turning some heads again.

And thank goodness MMorris has finally become the player the Rockets needed him to be. He makes a huge difference off the bench.

Actually I disagree. He is the best guy to lead the break. Every time he runs the break he makes the right play. Usually Parsons turns it over or Harden does the same as well.

I agree patience is needed, but we must also acknowledge that lin needs to tighten up a few areas and it won't be overnight.. I do think that the rockets are not using him enough in pick and roll, but lin need to work on that handle..

He will be fine tho.. he has all the tools to succeed... I am a huge fan of his and hope he does well..

No way man. I was at the game and the feeling was pretty positive. It had that "air" of win about it. I think the biggest fail (Besides LIn's 3 point shooting--man, he can't even hit the rim!) was taking out ASIK in the 4th. I was watching him alter shots and play great defense all game and once he came out the Hornets were getting second chance points and rebounds.

Everyone at the game was clamoring for him to come back in...pretty ticked off they left him out for what seemed like a long time.

Keep Asik in longer and the Hornets offensive sets look much different. Otherwise Harden had a nice game (minus hero ball), Morris looked on fire, Douglas surprised everyone including himself, and Parsons seemed to always get that key shot. He is a leader out there and very involved on the bench. Dude's a keeper.

Asik was the key cog of this game. He's my game ball winner.

See I knew I wasn't the only one seeing this. Some people just have an agenda against lin and refuses to see facts.

Now I don't know why his teammates are not passing to him - whether is by design or they don't trust him given his shooting slump. Whatever the case, he is not making any shots and as a result, really reluctant to take any either.

Good win ~ positive results to build upon.

Next up - revenge on Portland, a game we should have won last time.

I think that will come lin is getting hit a lot, and the refs are letting guys play.. he will have to adjust..

but his penetration along can be a huge benefit... for example that drive he had tonight in which he missed the layup and asik was there for a wide open putback because the defense had to rotate and react to lin.. good things can come from that even when he misses...

I totally agree. Lin is the quintessential unselfish player and quite frankly, Asik's offensive skills wouldn't be where they are if Lin didn't develop that with him in the preseason.

Lin's own offense will improve. They just need to play some EC teams and let him light them up :)

PLEASE STOP. Lin is still NOT ready to perform as what Linsanity 2.0 looks like.

Yes. He is the best rocket bar none. In fact, the coaches should make sure Lin (NOT HARDEN or CHANDLER) is the one leading the break. He is superb at finding the open players and giving them easy shots.

Today's game was a perfect example.

Lin is not a bad player. He is pretty solid when the ball is in his hands. Lin has to adjust to being a combo guard, and play off the ball. He isn't shooting very well, but his defense has been solid, say what you will. If they keep using him the way there are using him, still doesn't make him a bad player. there are a lot elite PG who can't shoot..ie..Nash, Rondo, but they are excellent play makers with the ball. That ia a coaching problem, not a player problem

Parsons just does not have the handle to run a fast break.

I remember coach Sampson said something like the team is young and they have got so many things to improve but you can't do it all at the same time. Looking at the games, I think that they are trying to improve the D first. Not much plays were put in for O but they will come.

BTW..that was just one play. There were many other plays that Lin failed to penetrate into the paint area. He just lost his explosiveness.

TD caught fire for about a 3 minute stretch. Wouldn't call that "totally outplayed".

Don't know what got into him, but I gotta give him props for hitting his last trey with that hand in his face, lol.
