    I agree.

I mean, I totally understand long time Rockets fans wanting to see their 25 mil go to good use, and right now it probably seems like he is not that living up to his contact... but if he goes for a lousy 2 points driving into the lane and injures himself in the PRESEASON, would it not seem silly and detrimental to the Rockets season ahead?

Being an LOF (quickly turning ROF) I have the advantage of knowing what the guy is capable of in crunch time so it's easy to be optimistic.. but to everyone else expecting more aggressiveness from him, I only ask that you wait until the regular season before you judge him... it will be then that it matters.

All of the above goes to Asik as well, even moreso. I really feel like he is irreplaceable at the moment, unlike Jeremy.

I saw a more mature PG in Lin on the floor last night with win over Hornets. He came in took control of the floor and stopped a 7 point winning streak that the Hornets had going. If you listen to Lin's interviews, he knows exactly where he wants to lead the team. He even said that they the team is trying to establish their own signature. i think coach Mchale has pulled Lin in and is making him a floor general. I think we are going to see Lin really come into his own as PG this season. One thing about Lin that I noticed is his court vision and him getting the ball the right person to score. I think some of the teammates will have to get use to how fast he reads the defense and be in the right place for him to get the ball to them to score. I saw Lin throw a couple of hard passes to Asik last nite, and he almost lost the ball with his slippery hands. That is what Lin's teammates will have to get use to with Lin, that he will find you really quick, but they have to pay attention and follow the ball. So far I am very pleased with Lin's play making with the Rockets.

As a longtime Lin fan from NYC that has watched him for Columbia when he was at Harvard, GSW, D-League(Reno BigHorns w/ Danny Green/Steve Novak), Knicks, Asia Linsanity, and now back to Houston. I would like to say that if you don't know anything about Lin or Linsanity, I will explain.

He usually slacks off during the 3rd quarter, he's not someone that overly impresses on his first try if you give him bench minutes. He's not overly athletic or the most flashy player. That's why during GSW the coach K Smart benched him and put in Acie Law(who is not in the NBA anymore). Linsanity and Lin to me is defined in his ability to be clutch in the 4th quarter and leading the floor during high pressure situations. If you watched all his Linsanity highlights, its not his game overall, he may have had a terrible performance all game like 2/10 going into the 4th, but then he turns on his engine and goes like 15 points and wins the game. The point is, Jeremy Lin doesn't care about showing off, about the stat sheets, the ONLY thing that matters is making his team playing better and winning. Let the real season start and watch the 4th quarter for Lin to play.

Looks to me like Lin doesn't have his legs yet. When he gets them, and I bet he will, we'll see some 30+ point games from him.

No need 30+ points from Lin. All we need is a win! Same as the 2 preseason games. His stats, play is not linsanity level, but we got a win.

I’m getting tired of Omer. He’s taking all those rebounds from all his teammates. As a Lin fan, Lin only got one. SMH.

Why's Jeremy talking about getting hard? That's a little personal...

This year, I doubt Lin will try to score much when others can score. He probably should be focused on getting everyone involved and getting easy shots rather than score himself. I think that's what McHale wants from him.

Lin was solid, and it's good that he's getting more people involved. The only thing I am concerned is that his shooting does not seem to have improved that much. He needs to have his jumpers working to be an effective scorer.

Your analysis is spot-on. He doesn't care how the team wins, as long as he can contribute to winning. That's what started the Linsanity anyway. Rocket fans are going to be disappointed if they expect him to score 20 every night. I see him more as a facilitator in every way, not dominator.

Lin is on cruise control folks. He's doing the right things, making the right plays, involving his mates and getting to know their strengths and weaknesses. He's evolving the PnR with Omer and Patrick. He's playing just fine. Lin is a very intelligent kid. He's playing well and is going to be ready come the start of the season. It is preseason. For Lin, it's not about putting up numbers. Really for the whole team it's not about putting up numbers. It's all about implementing systems, learning how to play together, learning each other's games, and becoming proficient within a system.

It appears to me that McHale is actually letting Sampson coach and implement the defense and Finch is actually coaching the offensive system. Lin is simply fitting into those systems. He's doing fine.

I was watching a documentary on Lebron James(...just hear me out before judgement) and he said he was trying too hard during his first year with the Heat to play a different style of basketball with more passing and less driving to the rim. He felt like he wanted people to see how it was more a team game and that he could play a different brand of basketball where it wasnt about him. It failed. He reverted his style last year back to an aggressive dominating style of play and the rest is history. I just hope that Lin doesnt try to change what made him great in an effort to prove something to skeptics. I am probably worrying about nothing but I see this as a possible reason why he may not start off so great as a Rocket. If he sees developing team ball as more important than winning he will have a bad year and so will the Rockets. I see this as one of the potential obstacles the Rockets will have to overcome. I hope I am wrong.

I was at the game last night and thought Lin played well. With that said I'm confident he will get even better, I really liked what I saw in the open court and his decision/passing. He was very aggressive tonight trying to get to the rim ad it showed with his FT attempts. If two of those layups go in ur looking at 13 and 7 in 23 min those are very good numbers in ur 2nd game with new everything.

The only thing that I see that Lin is still going to have problems with is his turnovers. I think it's somthing were going to have to live with because of his aggresive style of play. As he gets more years under his belt and the game slows down I'm sure this will become less of a problem but I'm afraid it won't be this year.

I'm very happy with the two big money additions we had this offseason. They are both living up to the money so far, especially Asik hes a lot better than I thought. It's very impressive watching him move his feet on defense He's always in the right position it seems. I'm expecting 8-12 points and no less than 12 rebounds and 2 blks he will be a top 5-7 center in the NBA by seasons end. Chicago is really going to regret not trading Noah and sticking with this guy for less loot. Oh well glad he and Lin are rockets ppl want to say morey doesn't acquire top level free agents but he might have snagged A top 5 center and lins star potential is thru the roof.

We're looking good guys I'm very excited about this team there's so much talent I think we're going to surprise a lot of ppl outside of Houston this season.

He will always turn the ball over a lot. Always. Steve Nash hasn't stopped turning the ball over and he's 40.
