As pathetically sorry as it was, one game doesn't define 3 seasons. It was a blowout loss, whether 40 points or 20 points. It's looooong past time to take that game down off the pedestal. Come on.

Back to the original point: That game will have zero influence on whether JVG is retained or not. And basing JVG's future on making the playoffs this year is also crazy. On the other hand, if Les and CD decide JVG's philosophy doesn't fit what they want, that is completely different.

 

Le$ has made clear the only "philosophy" that matters is winning. Two "first-round-and-outs" and a "miss-the-playoffs" should be plenty of proof that Mr. Van Gundy did not deliver.
