here is our chance to go on a run and close out the game.

lucas looks good but a little jittery with his jumper.

Maybe he scratched both eyeballs or maybe he was waiting for TMac to come back.

Anyway, Baxter is better than Lucas.

JVG actually cracked a smile, he must be damn proud of those guys, they have shown nothing short of tremendous heart and fortitude (and unity) in the midst of these trying times.

Bull said something the other day on SR610 that I think shows the true character of this team. He said that usually when teams are struggling this badly, guys point fingers and the locker room is full of turmoil, teams usually fracture. However, he said he has seen zero signs of that happening here and, if anything, the team has grown closer and believe in one another more than ever before.

If nothing else, that gave me hope that this season isn't quiet over yet, that there is still a chance we can make something out of it, as long as those guys stick with one another and continue to play with this level of intensity when our two stars come back.

Amen. The 'other' players have shown that they can still play with heart and not quit on each other. I don't think there will be any letup in their attitude once the stars return. I just hope that guys like Mutumbo and Wesley don't burn themselves out playing big minutes in the meantime.

JVG waited too long to put deke back in the game. the hornets scored the last 6 points by driving to the basket knowing that we have no shot blocker in the game.

Man, how sad, another valiant effort but same result: zero execution down the stretch with nobody to take over and put us over the top.

    Yah, well...

welp, at least it was entertaining. Thoroughly enjoyed head's breakaway dunk and dikembe telling butler in no uncertain terms: GET THE **** OUTTA HERE YA HEARD!!!!!!!

Not giving up on alston just yet, but he played like **** today. Lucas is quick as lightning out there on the court and contributed positively to the team.

He is not allowed even close to the team, since his pinkeye is contagious. That is what Bill Worrel said during the game.

Dear JVG, play JL3 more. He had a off night shooting but did everything else very well including no turnovers. He is the only one who could come close to guarding Paul or Claxton. You need also give your older players a little more rest. I know you guys are short on players but there is a reason you guys suck in the 4th quarter.

Which is a couple of days thing, and you put eye drops in...basically a cold in your eyeball.....

    7 days max....

    Unless you are tanking.

you know mike james probably wasnt the best fit with tmac on court, but i think he would have carried us during these injuries. he is someone who can score 25-30 a night. alston meanwhile seems to be bout as good as bowen.

    BINGO!!!

Pink Eye (conjunctivitis) does not last that long, it is contagious but once you get on antibiotics it's no longer......unless you are about to be traded....

    Here's the thing...

What would have been the harm in having McGrady dress up and play him a couple of minutes in each quarter or something until the fourth, so that when the game is close enough in the final stretch of the game, he can come in and try to seal the victory.

The real frustrating part is that we have been in every single one of those games, and some times even holding a slim lead, but then the final 3-4 minutes we collapse and can't score and can't make a stop.

I really think we're waaay too far behind being 12 games under .500 right now, I just think that with all these close games against bad teams, we could've used a few minutes of McGrady here and there in the closing minutes of those games (Bobcats, NOK, etc.)
