To those who feel Harden was stat padding tonight. The Rockets are now 10-1 when he gets a triple-double. All he was doing was assuring the Rockets of the victory by getting that one more assist. If he ended at only 9 then the Rockets may have lost. It's simple math and he is proving to be a statistical genius

As an individual talent, absolutely. He is not a better fit or team member for this Rockets' team.

 

Be careful, according to joomba nobody is allowed to disagree with his opinions otherwise you are a Harden fanboy.

 

Every player deserves criticism. Constant trolling of your dislike for Harden is what people are tired of. When he's clearly the MVP front runner and you're still only harping on only negatives every game, your argument seems disingenuous. It's like ****ing Jessica Alba every night then complaining to your friends that her elbows are so much pointier than your last girlfriend's.

 

Maybe he pushes back more to the point of 'trolling' because many posters lash out at any precieved criticism of Harden even if it's just a single post?

There are some legitimate criticisms for Harden and it doesn't take away from the greatness he is displaying this season. The Rockets are 31-9 and there are threads now discussing that the Rockets have a legitimate chance to win it all. Harden needs to address some of the issues if he wants his team to win back to back 7 game series between the GSWs and Cavs. Otherwise, sure, he'll probably win the MVP and there is a solid chance he'll lead them to the WCF finals. If the goal is championship this season, then criticism of Harden is warranted.

 

I'd just like to point out that Harden's on/off numbers and RPM are in free fall right now, mainly due to his lack of defensive effort lately. Most casual fans don't care about this, but stat geeks over ESPN definitely will, and probably gonna use it to make a case against Harden winning MVP. There are too many times when Harden checks-in we blow up our lead, and if he's the true MVP can't let that happen on a consistent basis.

 

Must be tough for you that Harden is doing so well.

You guys understand that ppl criticizing harden love this team and just want to get us in shape to compete for a chip right? I love harden, but it's true, you can't come into the game hunting for a triple dub, cause bad shots for 3-4 possessions and then not play defense on top!!! That's not how championships are won, and unfortunately with all their success, that is the new measuring stick!!!

 

I'm talking about one poster. Only pointing out negatives of a player over and over again isn't constructive and it's irritating. Simple as that really.

 

Lol, nobody is criticizing anyone but you. Because you have it out for Harden. It's pretty obvious.

When everyone is getting on you about something and not getting on other people for what you perceive as the same thing, maybe it's something you are doing wrong. Ever think about that?

he says in the post game that focusing on winning and etc, the accolades would come. i wish he wasn't as aware of his stats bc that was infuriating to watch last night.

also, i'm sure minny wants revenge tonight. harden is going to have to bring it again.

There is a distinct line between criticism and hating and you are an ocean's distance away from that line and well into hate territory.

 

There is a huge difference between critical and hating/trolling. I am sure you realize who falls on which side. I agree that Harden stat chasing almost cost us the game. In his defense however, once he got it, he single handily won us the game us well.

 

Good game. I wish some of our starters didnt have to play as much as they did for tonight's game.

 

Back to back 120+ point games for the Rockets. Back to back 40/10/10 games for Harden,, but according to my man fchowd, he's just not playing with enough pace! Killing the offense and the fastbreak!
